🩸🫄 Final Moments: The Baby Is Almost Here “Push with the next one. He’s right there. We see the head.” 🫶👶
A raw, intimate look at the climax of labor — pain, trust, and the edge of transformation. Like, reblog, and DM for full version (unedited).
He was lying back in the bed now, half-sitting, his knees drawn up and held wide. The air was warm, heavy with sweat and tension. His body trembled between contractions, his chest rising and falling fast, flushed and open.
His partner sat beside him, one arm behind his back, the other hooked under his left thigh, lifting and supporting his leg — their foreheads close, sharing breath.
“I can’t—” he gasped, jaw clenched.
“Yes, you can,” the other replied immediately, without doubt. “You are. I see him. You’re so close.”
A contraction surged through him. He grunted, half a cry, half a growl, curling inward as his body took over.
“Deep breath — push with the pressure,” the midwife said clearly, stepping closer. Her voice was calm, grounded. “He’s crowning — the head is almost all the way out. Don’t fight it.”
He bore down, eyes squeezed shut, fingers gripping the sheet tight.
“Support his other leg higher,” the nurse added to his partner. “Hook your arm behind the thigh and lift — angle it back toward his chest. That’ll open the pelvis more.”
“Like this?” he asked, quickly adjusting.
“Perfect. Hold him there — and keep his hips stable. He’s doing beautifully.”
His partner repositioned, now holding both legs — knees high, thighs supported and open. He kissed his forehead.
“You’ve got this. One more. Just one.”
Another contraction came on fast. This time he didn’t hesitate — he groaned low, pushing hard, body arched, belly trembling as the baby moved forward again.
“I feel it—! He’s coming—” he cried out.
“You’re stretching beautifully,” the midwife reassured. “The head is almost clear. No tearing yet. Keep going just like that.”
They were locked together in those seconds — one pushing with everything he had, the other anchoring him with voice and touch. The pain was unimaginable, but so was the strength.
Then — a breathless pause. The world narrowed to heat, pressure, and the presence of new life just on the edge.
Physiologically, this is the second stage of labor at its peak: full dilation has occurred and the fetus is descending through the birth canal. Crowning is happening — the widest part of the fetal skull is now visible externally and remains exposed between contractions. The perineum is stretched to its anatomical limit, creating an intense burning sensation often called “the ring of fire.” Controlled, guided pushing is essential here to prevent perineal tearing. To optimize delivery mechanics, care providers often instruct support persons to help hold the birthing person's thighs up and back — increasing pelvic diameter and facilitating descent. This technique (modified lithotomy or McRoberts position) reduces soft tissue resistance and allows clearer fetal alignment. The partner’s role here is critical: stabilizing hips, supporting upper leg weight, and grounding emotional focus. Labor hormones — oxytocin, adrenaline, endorphins — surge, flooding the nervous system. The atmosphere is raw and primal. The birthing body is working at its absolute limit, and everything else — speech, time, space — collapses into the pure act of pushing new life into the world.
🌧️🤰 Walking Through the Storm: Early Labor Begins “This is it… we’re really doing this.” 🌬️🫶
An intimate glimpse at the first stage of birth – when the body opens, breath deepens, and two hearts walk into the unknown together. 💗👣 Like, reblog, and DM for the full version (unedited). 💌
The birthing suite was quiet, filled only with the soft beeping of monitors and the occasional hush of passing nurses. Fluorescent lights cast a pale glow across the floor, but in the center of it all stood something far more human than sterile.
He moved slowly, one hand gripping the IV pole, the other clutching his partner’s fingers. His belly was swollen to fullness, the skin stretched tight and flushed pink. Each breath trembled. Each step felt heavier than the last.
His partner walked just behind him, arms around his waist, steadying him with every subtle shift of balance. Their movements were unhurried — swaying more than walking — as though they were in a dance choreographed by the body itself.
“Keep walking with me,” the laboring man whispered through gritted teeth.
“I’ve got you. Every step,” the reply came low, steady, close to his ear.
He winced as a new contraction swelled inside him, gripping low in his abdomen. It pulled at him from within — firm, grounding, real. He leaned forward into his partner’s hands, which were splayed protectively over the curve of his stomach.
“I can feel it changing… deeper now.”
“You’re safe. We’re okay. You’re not alone.”
They passed the hospital bed again, circling slowly. They hadn’t sat down in a while — moving helped. It wasn’t just pain management; it was instinct. Walking encouraged the body to keep opening, to let go. It was still early labor, but things were shifting.
In the brief calm between contractions, they stood still. Their foreheads touched. Bare skin against bare skin, heartbeat to heartbeat. A moment of softness in the middle of a powerful, unstoppable process.
“You’re doing so good,” his partner murmured, brushing damp hair back from his face.
“I’m ready,” came the reply, soft but certain. “I’m really ready.”
No one else was in the room now. It was theirs — a quiet, sacred space where one chapter was ending and a new one was preparing to begin. They didn’t need music or guidance. Just each other.
They had made this life. And now, together, they were about to meet it.
Inside early labor, the cervix is likely dilated to 3–4 cm, and contractions begin to follow a more regular rhythm. The pregnant man's belly is fully distended, and tension gathers low in the pelvis with each wave. Walking promotes fetal descent — each step adds gentle pressure on the cervix from within. The partner’s physical closeness supports both balance and emotional grounding, and skin-to-skin contact can stimulate oxytocin, deepening labor. Their nudity in this context isn’t erotic in a traditional sense, but it does reflect raw intimacy: sweat, breath, muscle, and touch moving in harmony. There’s a primal charge — not sexual, but deeply embodied — in the vulnerability of birth shared like this. Two men, on the threshold of parenthood, deeply connected through touch, trust, and transformation.

The frat has some weird traditions, but the belly-building competition has to be the weirdest. They take it super seriously though, and over the years the competitors have pushed it to more and more surreal places.
Getting handsy before they head to the buffet to stuff him silly.
I’m sorry I stole your photos from Instagram but I like to keep all my spank bank material in one place
There’s a song that’s been proven to reduce anxiety by 65%. It’s called Weightless by Macaroni Union, and it was specifically designed to slow your heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and lower cortisol levels. It’s so effective that it’s dangerous to drive while listening to it because it can make you drowsy. Source Source 2 Source 3
YO O_O
I knew within seconds that I’d heard this before.
It was one of the first Tumblr posts I favorited.
Sound therapists and Manchester band Marconi Union compiled the song. Scientists played it to 40 women and found it to be more effective at helping them relax than songs by Enya, Mozart and Coldplay. Weightless works by using specific rhythms, tones, frequencies and intervals to relax the listener. A continuous rhythm of 60 BPM causes the brainwaves and heart rate to synchronise with the rhythm: a process known as ‘entrainment’. Low underlying bass tones relax the listener and a low whooshing sound with a trance-like quality takes the listener into an even deeper state of calm. Dr David Lewis, one of the UK’s leading stress specialists said: “‘Weightless’ induced the greatest relaxation – higher than any of the other music tested. Brain imaging studies have shown that music works at a very deep level within the brain, stimulating not only those regions responsible for processing sound but also ones associated with emotions.” The study - commissioned by bubble bath and shower gel firm Radox Spa - found the song was even more relaxing than a massage, walk or cup of tea. So relaxing is the tune, apparently, that people are being Rex advised against listening to it while driving. The top 10 most relaxing tunes were: 1. Marconi Union - Weightless 2. Airstream - Electra 3. DJ Shah - Mellomaniac (Chill Out Mix) 4. Enya - Watermark 5. Coldplay - Strawberry Swing 6. Barcelona - Please Don’t Go 7. All Saints - Pure Shores 8. AdelevSomeone Like You 9. Mozart - Canzonetta Sull’aria 10. Cafe Del Mar - We Can Fly
One of the comments suggests pairing it with Rainymood.
The combined calm might be weaponized with adding this song and some crackling fire.
When I was literally unable to sleep at all, my senior at work gave me this song to listen to!
My wife uses this song when she’s having near-meltdown levels of anxiety right before bed and it helps her relax and shed some of that stress enough for her to attempt to lie down and sleep.
@yang-belladonna figured this might help, somehow.
Can also recommend “Purrfect” by Funky Porcini for this.
There is also a 10 hour version on Youtube.
