Hi! I just wanted to say I LOOOOOVE your art! It’s absolutely gorgeous. I really like studying the art styles of different artists and I just wanted to ask if we could get some process pictures or a speed paint of one of your works please? I’d love to see your painting process. Thanks!

First of all, I use Procreate to draw!

As soon as I open a new canvas, I change the background to either grey or a saturated colour (usually a cold hue).

I sketch out blobs and trace over them, defining the figures with every layer. I don’t do lineart at all (oops).

My workflow relies on layering more than anything. I smudge all the time, but mostly in the initial stages.

I use the following brushes (all Procreate defaults):

Jagged Brush for the main shapes/rough sketching

Derwent for defining shapes.

Round Brush for a lot of the colouring process.

Jagged Brush and Acrylic for rendering and details. Lasso tool also helps with adding lights and shadows.

I play around with the Colour Balance and Gradient Maps features a lot, especially if I’m rendering in black and white and then adding colours at the end. Which is maybe ~30% of the time in all honesty.

Speaking of that; in terms of colours, I throw stuff at the wall until something sticks but I do have some colour palettes I tend to refer to:
