“I’m sure you will!”, Carter gave her an encouraging smile, as he wasn’t entirely sure if she really believed what she said. But as he basically didn’t understand anything about all that stuff she was dealing with at work, he couldn’t really do more than trying to cheer her up and hoping that in case it didn’t turn out the way she wanted it, she’d come to him and tell him. But as the blonde continued to talk, he couldn’t hide the fact, that he started to become a little worried. “You know you don’t have to figure out everything, do you? It’s perfectly normal to not be able to solve every problem..”, he said, slightly frowning, even though he was exactly the same when it came to situations like the one that she was obviously in right now. “I’m fine I guess.. Although I can’t really say that I spend that much time outside of the office lately, so there isn’t that much to tell..”, he shrugged a little before looking up at her again, “Sounds pretty pathetic, doesn’t it?!”
she smiled softly knotting her fingers together as she looked down for just a second shaking her head only slightly to free her mind of any thoughts that were starting to form, “thanks for having faith in me.” she chuckled a bit before looking back up at his next words. biting the inside of her cheek she gave a small nod before clearing her throat, “i um i know but i...” she paused trying to even come up with the words herself, “i feel like i let people down if i don’t you know? like it eats at me if i don’t solve it.” she half lied. she did feel bad if she didn’t solve the problem but i she also was fearful of what her father would do to her if she didn’t handle it and gain control over it all. raising a brow she shook her head as he spoke, ‘we’ll it’s a good thing that we both got out of the office for just a bit today isn’t it? i think we both need to get a life some days, you know outside of our offices we’ve literally have got to be the most boring people ever...” she shook her head a bit more, “wow.. we’re terrible.”
