Noooo but wait! (SPOILERS)

I didn’t realize that you could see Luke during the fireworks part of the preview! What if he poisons Percy during the celebration?! I gotta watch it again because THAT would be much more sinister and devastating!

Prediction for episode 8 ending (SPOILERS):

Ok so I think that, since we’re getting some form of the fireworks scene, everything up to Luke’s betrayal will happen.

I think they’ll have a scene where Percy wakes up from being poisoned by Luke but gets saved (since they’ve already established the wood spirits(?) nymphs(?) through Grover talking to one in the first or second episode.)

I think the episode ends with Chiron telling Annabeth and Percy (maybe Grover is still there) that they’re going to find Luke which leads into an announcement for season 2 (fingers crossed.)

Then again, maybe they’ll do that whole Luke betrayal scene different. Percy has to be along regardless but I feel like since we’ve already seen Luke wield a sword it’s the perfect opportunity for that scene to happen.

Either way I’m excited!

Imagine putting your heart and soul into a project because you love the source material, but have to work around certain scenarios because they won’t really translate well to screen, which is fine because you’ve gotten help/blessings from the ORIGINATOR of said source material so you’re feeling really good about everything. Maybe you wish you could change somethings, but you’re proud of the story that you’ve told and how true it is to the HEART OF THE STORY…

Only to then read that some of the fans of said source material think the show is awful and (somehow??) worse than the bad movie adaptations that disregarded the heart of the material (the actually STORY), all because of a casino and either adding or dropping minor story beats.
