1. My current pride and joy is definitely The Snyder Experiments for a multitude of reasons. Mainly, it's the first long fic I ever stuck with. I had never written more than 30k in one fic before, and I nearly reached that in a single chapter for SE!!
I also ended up developing and flexing writing muscles I didn't realize I had. I had an idea for a story and knew I wanted to do a lot not only with foreshadowing, but also context changes that makes large parts of the story read very differently the second time through. And I did that! I succeeded which still blows my mind.
I've been beyond blessed by everyone who's read it, commented, and even DREW FAN ART OF IT!!! (Someone made clay figures for this story! That's a whole new level of love!!) It's been done for nearly a year, but I admit i still think about it a lot, returning to old chapters, ideas, and even pictures every one in a while.
2. Days When I Loved You is another one close to my heart. It's an excerpt of a story @saltseitan and I have worked on for Punk AU StanXeno.
There's this nostalgia laced within it that even this chapter can stand alone so beautifully. I also love the small joke behind the title being the Title of the Song the Punk AU is based off of, but it's the English Version of that song which for some reason has a DIFFERENT TITLE AND LYRICS. It's basically my way of joking that this excerpt is good as is, but it's nothing more than a near-parody of the original-- not hitting the same deep feelings.
3. Konpeito Kiss is my favorite childhood fic for them. Admittedly it's much more of the pure smut side of things, but there's this one part that's so much more intimate than that-- a moment of Xeno breaking down Stan's defenses and turning him into a kiss addict. It's such a Xeno thing to compare kissing to meth.
[Pale fingers pressed lightly against Stanley’s lips, holding him at bay before he could sneak another kiss. A frown marred his perfect, boyish face and he huffed his displeasure, forcing blond tresses to dance wildly in the displacing breath.
“And who’s to say I have to keep craving it?”
(We're ignoring the fact that the accompanying picture was made for something else, it's the closest I have to fit it)
4. All We Had and All We Lost is another one I where I think my writing abilities are showcased well. It's a 4 +1 kind of fic where it looks at the development of Stanley and Xeno's relationship through the lens of New Years fireworks. I think it reads really well despite constantly jumping between past and present, so much so, that I'm not sure anyone actually realized I had written it as a 4 +1.
5. Admittedly, I think those are my best ones writing wise. So my last one is more of an honorary mention. Love Like Kids takes this spot because it was a collab piece between myself and an artist I adored on blsky. We teamed up for a StanXeno fan week event and I found out that they were actually a huge fan of me as well. We're now very close friends (as well as a few others I started talking to for that same event.)
