Eyes latch onto their hands, his own taken so casually—far too casually, his own face flushing red. “S-stop that! You’re doing it again!” Protests said, though, he doesn’t let go—Momo felt safe, and if he closes his eyes, perhaps he could kid himself that he was holding Hiyori’s hand now, the one he failed to grasp not-so-long (yet also decades) ago.
Would they have entered that nightmare if he had reached her? Or, perhaps more importantly, would they even have entered that nightmare if he’d just kept his mouth shut? Swallowing, he starts walking, tugging Momo along behind him as if he wasn’t the reason they had to search like this. “Yeah, let’s go. Maybe she’ll be…” Is he running out of locations? There’s no way; there were far too many repetitions for him to visit all those places in his lifetime. “Th-there was a walkway…”
The vocal resistance nearly strengthens her grip, choosing to refrain from taking orders from someone a few years her junior. Even so, his hands never work to remove themselves from hers, sparking a glance of confusion at Hibiya. Oh well, she won’t protest it, smile bright on her face and fingers wiggling when she releases him just a little.
Even with the optimistic outlook, her feelings for Hibiya’s situation cause her to falter. She hates to think of her own past as relatable (what a horrible thing to have connections by), heart sinking and bright eyes cast down for a moment. However, upon her companion speaking up, she puffs out her chest and gives a determined huff. “ Lets go search all of the walkways then, Hibiya-kun! There can’t be too many of those around here, right? ”
