Once upon a time long long ago (2004 or so) (I was 16) my friend @mikeygetlit shouted down at a neighbor of mine at the time in an apartment below as he heard him rapping @fcurtschilling . At the time I had sharpened my production/rapping skills up real well and he saw potential in that. A couple more dots connected , a few drunken nights and a local rap group was formed called All Walks of Life or A.W.O.L. Ft. him , @principalcrowngfx , rapper dahmer , and eventually @handsdownink and I. I was 16 yrs old producing/rapping/recording/mixing and mastering every song. At the time it was UNHEARD of to have suburban rappers forming a group to do shows all throughout Boston. But my dude Chris who managed our group on top of being an artist was crazy enough to do it. He would help plug is into 88.9 at night (shoutout @ianvanzile ) , which we won countless track battles and got regular rotation on. @leedzedu which would have us eventually headlining our own shows and next thing we were being played on 94.5 on 4th of July midday and a whirlwind arose. It was overall a short lived experience BUT it will forever be recalled as my foundation which has helped me build the confidence and career I have. And I am forever thankful to those that gave me a shot when I was a young kid to show what I had when others would overlook me cuz I was just some kid.
