I thought this said cows and thought, "Okay, tell me more..."

Fanfic creators are like cows, some people think you can just milk them for content, but actually they need enrichment (comments) and a nice pasture to graze on (kudos/likes) and they secretly also like cuddles (asks about their fic/art)

New Discord Community for Writers of Morally Grey Characters in HP

Hello everyone! A friend (autumfoxwrites) and I have decided to create a new discord! This discord is meant to be a space that celebrates writers and other creators the Harry Potter fandom. We wanted artists to feel welcome to refine their skills and connect with other creators, but also learn to not take themselves too seriously. And we would love to have anyone who is wanting to hone their skills as a writer, an artist, or a podfic reader. We welcome those of all experience!

The discord is called: "Writing Beyond Good and Death Eaters".

We wanted to have a focus! Autumn and I have always felt more 'drawn' to the moral grey characters of Harry Potter and wanted to have a space dedicated to that.

And best believe, both of us are dramione shippers at heart, we wanted to give love to all the morally grey characters out there.

And to top it all off, even genre fiction that are written now that are not "classic literature" and written in first person is still wonderfully written too.

*cough cough* Romance *cough cough*. But generally, a lot, and I mean a lot of literary fiction is written in the first person. And what's funny to me is that people usually combine first person with present tense which can make it even *more* jarring for people.

Writing is such a fascinating topic to me haha. As a newer writer, I find some of these debate a bit of an odd quandary because I think that each of these things can be utilized in all writing, it just needs to be executed "well" and "well" is often subjective.
