Johanna Mason
“I don’t care if you’re knocked up. I’ll rip your throat out.”
“Okay. Legs. Not so easy to work.”
“I thought walking was something almost everyone had to learn... you know, when you’re like two??”
favorite characters: johanna mason (the hunger games)
“when she grins at my discomfort, i know we’re not in for some warm reunion scene.”
she was OVERWHELMED to say the least. so many people, and they all moved so fast. why was everyone in such a rush? seeing a figure approaching, she stood up a little straighter, resting her arms at her side. “WHO are you?!” she said, shouting a little loud than she had initially intended.
Johanna paused, her face pinching as the other all stopped her. “No need to YELL you know. I can hear you just fine, thank you.” She muttered, sarcasm dripping in her tone as her gaze hardened. “Besides, I could ask you the same question,”
she was made up of half darkness and half light. all her life she’s been feared. part of that being because of her appearance. but, now, she showed the beauty she had gained from her mother more than she ever had before. ‘ i’ve never looked so – human in my entire life. ’ she’s looking at her hands, they’re shaking from the sudden change. ‘ — i HATE it. ’
“Wait, wait, wait -- don’t tell me.” Johanna interjected, her gaze narrowing as she studied the other. “Are you like -- one of those ‘people’ from space or whatever?? I don’t know, but most people are here just so happen to be human. So, congrats on fitting in. You succeeded.”
“New York? Why am I here? Is this apart of The Movement?”
“I don’t know what movement thing you’re talking about, but who knows. New York seems to be full of mysteries.”
“that’s a fiery spirit, i’d hate to be that fucker if he ever came here. i know people come back from the dead here so if my fucker shows up here, it’s gonna be hell for him.”
“Could say the same about you. But I know what you mean -- it’s good in some cases, but some people should remain six feet under. But let’s just agree that if they do, we’re gonna make ‘em wish they stayed where they were. Hell is too good for them.”
“I’m rich. Filthy rich actually, it’s fine.” Victoria ordered a double jack and coke and a bottle of champagne, not that she was going to be able to drink it because passing out. She was going to try. “Cheers.”
Appreciating the blonde’s honesty, her lips curled up into a wide smirk as she nodded her head. “Well thanks again. And cheers, to a good night.” She added, nursing her drink until it was almost gone. “I’m Johanna, by the way.”
After she swallowed her first swig down a grin passed over her lips. It felt good to be doing her job once again after everything that happened. When she saw the other woman enter and take a seat she instantly nodded. “Here you go,” Cami spoke as she knelt down to grab a bottle before setting it down in front of her.
“Thanks.” Johanna nodded her appreciation, swiftly opening the bottle and downing a few sips. While it always disgusted her when others drank themselves into oblivion, she had to admit it did have it’s appeal; not to mention everyone had their vices (she certainly did). “Rough day?” She questioned, arching her brow at the other.
“thanks it felt good too. i had some help but the job got done. have you gotten even with whoever took control of your life?”
“I didn’t personally. Someone I know did however, or at least that’s what they tell me. Best believe though, if that fucker shows his face here, he’s in for a rude awakening.”
“You should! I’ll buy you a drink. What do you want?”
“Thanks, you don’t have to do that y’know?? But I’ll have a jack and coke.”
“please, i know all to well about that. that’s why i killed the man that thought he could control me.”
A smirk twitched up on her lips. “Good. Good for you. As you should. People like that need to pay for what they’ve done.”
Camille had been working, doing almost anything to distract herself from thinking about what had happened to her. She started in New Orleans at a bar and now she was again. When the place seemed to be done for the night she picked up a beer and opened it before taking a long swig.
Never one to pay much attention to time, Johanna wandered into the thankfully practically empty bar. Relief flooding through her, Johanna eased herself into a barstool, her cool gaze landing on the other. “Mind if I join you for one of those?? It kinda looks too good to pass up.”
💀— ‘ oh FUCK. ‘ ellie looked around the new place. no longer in professor xavier’s school it was something quite new. ‘ this blows. ‘ the mutant dropped onto the sidewalk in an attempt to get cell service. to just contact anyone. ( where was your metal father when you needed him? )
“Doesn’t it??” Johanna couldn’t help but quip, overhearing the other. After all, Johanna jumped on any opportunity to be cynical about this place. It may have been better than Panem, but what good had this place done for her?? She couldn’t think of one thing. “It only gets worse too, I’m afraid.”
dying had been pleasant. he’d been with johnny again – least that’s what he willed himself to remember.so waking up in the middle of a clearing wasn’t welcomed to dally, not in the least. he had gotten what he wanted before ( to be dead ) no matter how selfish that had been, and to have it ripped away from him was just u n f a i r. but everything had a sleek, modern aspect now. f u c k. ‘ – where the FUCK am i? ’ he’s speaking to no one in particular now.
Johanna recognized the look before the other even said anything. Confusion, sometimes even anger -- hell that’s what she felt on arrival. This place brought all kinds of people, from all walks of life. Johanna almost wished there was a pattern, a reason they were all brought to one place. But nonetheless she saw none, it was just another game it seemed. “Stonefield. It’s in England, though that meant shit to me when I arrived.”
Neopolitan glanced around herself at unfamiliar surroundings; she could only assume that after her fall, Cinder had packed her off here as a liability. At this realisation, a scowl of annoyance set on her features - she hadn’t seen Roman here yet. If Cinder had sent her, she must have brought him too, right? It was no secret how Neo and Roman were thick as thieves. With no Roman and apparently no Yang, either, she’d have nobody to pester and spend time irritating…well, this could be boring. Really, she’d be glad of Lil’ Red or Merc, despite the fact she’d probably kill them and get kicked out. Huffing and folding her arms, she paced across the courtyard looking for her House for the next three weeks.
“I know this place can be rather confusing and annoying -- but even so there are some better places than this courtyard, you know??” Johanna called out, a perfectly arched brow raised in slight humor. “Do you even know where you are??”
