A very important lesson
Replacing depression with obsession
Kinda a wip but I'm probably not finishing it any time soon
When Arkham assigns you to another one of your ex-friends turned super villains
Thinking about the irony of Jonathan's apathy, bro was a psychologist and still can't understand why anyone would care for him outside of just being deranged(jervis) or having something to gain from him.
Doodle page :3
It came to me in a vision (hallucinating and delirious :3)
Poison ivy and Scarecrow are not allowed near each other at Arkham. Why you may ask? Is it because they hate each other and start fights? No, it's because none of the staff can be bothered picking out every piece of hay out of Jonathan's hair.
Jon and Pam's relationship is almost akin to friendship due to the fact that he keeps lending her ways to escape Arkham, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
................... cowboy Jonathan for this poor beggar?
Jon be upon ye
It is my god given right to draw this old man pathetic and in pain with a homosexual undertone
(I finally set up my art tablet again)
I had an orange highlighter and decided to draw some Jon under the effects of fear toxin, but I didn't really like the other drawings
Thinking about Jon and Jerv before they were villains, or at least before Jervis was.
Talked about in this post
Some of Jon's costumes early on in his villain career
I love it when Jon is portrayed as a horrifying villain, but I have a soft spot for his more silly iterations. So I decided that in the beginning of his villainy career, he was more incompetent and not that scary without fear toxin. Though the longer time goes on, he gains more skills and more competence as a villain and becomes a terrifying menace to Gotham.
does your jon have any hobbies/interests besides his research? ::D insects, reptiles maybe? folklore? that kind of stuff thats seen as Creepy but not directly linked to fear?
OH BOY DOES HE HAVE HOBBIES
He likes collecting "old tech" stuff, like record players, rotary phones, old cameras, radios, typewriters, and all that stuff. He has this hobby because it's cool as hell, and also bcus I have 4 old record players and a few replica rotary phones (along with other old things) and I think it's really neat and it's my character so I get to project onto him.
He also obviously loves reading, he loves horror books of course, but he's also probably a sucker for fantasy, or dramas, and the kinda books that really focus on the main characters own flaws and how it effects people around them and the plot.
Jon definitely sews, I'm not sure if it counts as a hobby though, as it's kinda done out of necessity, cause where the hell is he gonna buy a scarecrow costume that already has all the things he needs. Although with how many different Scarecrow costumes his indecisive ass has, I'd say it's become a hobby.
He also might draw, he's probably not like a full-blown artist, but he definitely doodles "creepy" things from time to time.
I could probably continue this list for hours, but that's the main things I think of
do you think jon would ever be open to wearing dresses/skirts? honestly he doesnt seem like the type to care a lot about only wearign "traditionally masculine clothing" considering he dresses up like a damn scarecrow but he also seems very function-first and dresses are kind of hard to do certain stuff in? whats your take
I'm sure he's worn a few skirts in his time but I doubt he'd really enjoy dresses, although that mostly depends on the coverage as I don't think Jon enjoys showing a ton of skin.
He certainly doesn't care about the gender roles like to him, clothes are clothes.
Jon wears a noose around his neck in most of his costumes, so to hell with practicality, if he was being practical, he'd'nt be wearin a burlap sack instead of a gas mask.
Anyways, here's a low quality doodle of him in a dress, enjoy ya freaks :)
Jon the type'a guy who had a grey horse nammed Puddle or Smoke
He had a white horse named julio :)
Kinda curious- does Jon have a horse? :3
I'm sure he's had horses before, but taking care of a horse in a big city ain't the easiest, and he's often locked up in Arkham, unable to take care of any pets, and horses can be pretty high maintenance animals so it probably wouldn't be a very good pet for a villain.
He totally had one when he was younger tho
bumping my head against (pre anad after) Jervis face like a cat
Glad you enjoy him cus he was very difficult to figure out how to draw :,)
