i made this blog to share artwork + daily blogging and see the creations of others. i've recently found that other social media are a detriment to my mental health and overall wellbeing. tumblr seemed like a more personal and potentially healthy platform to be in, so i'm here trying to engage more meaningfully with the internet.

if the blogging thing sticks, i'd like to eventually learn basic css and html to write my own custom theme. it seems a waste to not utilize the customization features tumblr provides. but that's a future project!

interests include (but aren't limited to) gaming, working out, clubbing, reading (trying to catch up on classics right now - latest read at the time of writing was mrs. dalloway by virginia woolf), tech-related stuff, and all sorts of creative, manual practices. i'm hoping this blog will drive me to create more often.

little study/life update! 23.07.26

haven't been posting lately because i'm absolutely insane over my due assignments and, mostly, over top surgery which is scheduled A Single Week from now... to make matters worse i got sick and my skin is awful from stress, but things are slowly sorting out.

studied with friends today! made a lot of progress on assignment n. 1 – which is great because i am already TWO WEEKS LATE on my reading and writing plan and now i'll have to rush to make it before the surgery date. but i'm terribly invested in research for this essay so writing shouldn't be too hard.

also researching alt-right spaces online is so funny because it'll have you looking at shit like this in the middle of a public study room

been deep into study and classes this week (fighting HARD the urge to watch world cup games all day), finally got a supervisor for my thesis, and figured out my final assignments for the semester-

for anthropological theory i'll write about digital colonialism (mostly algorithmic racism + inequalities and power dynamics between the global north and south) and ways to decolonize digital research; for ethnographic theory i'll write about the ways in which the notion of "fieldwork" changed over the last century, from physical fieldwork in a given place to digital ethnographies

exciting stuff! between that and unrelated studies i'm trying my best to be on top of things and not go insane. that said i'm still behind on readings
