monty's got a twin set of stylized lightning bolt tats on his biceps, spanning enough skin to be half-visible when he's sporting tees. he got them when he scored his first sponsorship, to celebrate, & as a bonus: for branding. throughout his rookie season would unzip & let hang the top of his overalls asap after a race & swap his thermal top for a tank to show off the tattoos for the media. he still wears shirts that let the bolts show, but after getting a good dish of humble pie in the interim of the last two rookie season races, showing them off became something reserved for media day & magazine/promo shoots. they're so iconic to him that he can be fully jacketed up & half his fans will still eat up when he "ka-chow"s with a flex.

monty simultaneously has insane self-preservation instincts & absolutely none. equally likely to bounce at the first sign of bodily danger (outside racing contexts because "that doesn't count") as he is liable to stick Both boots in his mouth because he thinks he can talk his way out of 90% of the shit he gets into. he's also pretty gullible so he's just easy asf to lead into Situations.

do think bc of how much stuff he's done for the sake of marketing that's felt ridiculous but has ended up stacking up to pay off, monty is one hundred percent the kind of guy where his team's socials' admin comes up to him just telling him to do a thing on camera with very little elaboration beyond like "it's a tiktok trend right now" & he just. does it. might not be as chronically online & tapped into pop culture of the Youths as he was as a youth himself so 99% of the time has no idea of the context of what he's being told to do, but hey, it's a trend, it's marketing, keeps the fans happy: what the hell, sure.

monty's got that "i can accomplish literally any task i set my mind to" hubris that convinces him he can do diy projects with minimal instruction & do things he's never done first try. has he ever built a cabinet?? no, but how hard can it be??? has he ever done a backflip?? like once when he was 6 & on a trampoline with bungee cords, but if he could do it then, he can probably figure one out on solid ground right????
