Trying to understand how was Hashimi suppose to give Robby the heads up when the ceo came down with her and literally started announcing his plans right then and there . And I believe in the previews Hashimi stated that this could last for like 24 hours so realistically Robby not only would be off shift pretty soon anyway cause the night shift would take over at 7pm but by next day if this thing was still happening Robby would be off on his trip anyways .Nevermind once the night shift take over I doubt Abbot given his background would do things differently and probably agree with Hashimi given him working overseas and is more expose to these type of hectic working environments.

Sometimes I feel like I'm watching a completely different show to everyone else. Everyone talking about how good of a mentor Robby is being to Whitaker and how Evil and Misogynistic he is being to Santos and I'm just sitting here like...huh? Robby checked in on Whitaker after Louie's death in a way that completely mirrors how he checked in on Mel just a few episodes prior. He offered him some words of comfort and said Whitaker could talk to him if he needed to--pretty much word for word what he said to Mel regarding the deposition.

But Santos? Robby has been checking in on her all day long. He tried to push her towards the trauma counselor when he knew a case was triggering for her. He offered himself as a resource to talk to. He offered to let someone else do the physical exam on Kylie. He backed her up in multiple calls. He defended and praised her to Al-Hashimi. He's repeatedly asked her how she's doing, and even in his scene with Whitaker this episode it was Santos who he was staring worriedly at only seconds before. And while yes the way he called out "Dr. Santos" over the AI mishap wasn't the nicest, he was standing clear across the ED from her, not crowding her or getting in her space--something we see him be consistently mindful of with her--and was visibly more irritated with Al-Hashimi than anyone else.

And I'm not saying Robby's perfect or above criticism. He's been unfair and petty towards Al-Hashimi all day, increasingly impatient with almost everyone, avoidant, and at times borderline cruel to Langdon. I'm not even saying he's the perfect mentor to Santos. But I just can't help but feel like there's often this fandom need to find any excuse to vilify Robby, to the complete detriment and flattening of all these characters and their arcs this season. Santos very obviously trusts Robby, more so than anyone else in that ED, and he is one of the only other people--and certainly the only person in a position of authority--who knows the full extent of what went down with Langdon 10 months ago. And now Langdon is back and Robby is leaving and Al-Hashimi, a new authority figure who she doesn't know or trust, is breathing down her neck and threatening to hold her back. Santos is spiraling, and it seems like Robby is one of the only people who sees that. And he is so clearly very concerned for her.
