Here’s my newly completed Hogwarts crest cross stitch with a copy of Sorcerer’s Stone for scale.

I’ve also included a couple of details of each house. I’m really glad I went with that yellow for Hufflepuff—the pattern originally called for a dark blue, but that just didn’t feel right. It was really the only change I made from the original pattern. It works, and now all the houses have the right colors as backgrounds!

I cross stitched a teeny tiny ship in a bottle tonight - which is by no means original (pattern and pictures are floating around somewhere on the World Wide Web). I *guessed* based on a picture of the completed project that I saw on tumblr once upon a time. I added some seashells I had lying around. Very cute if I do say so myself :)

OH HEY IS THAT A DRAGON??

Yes it is. Still un-beaded, but as I need to attain a lap frame prior to beading, here is a set of bad pictures taken on my phone (I was going to wait until I had my camera, but then I was set upon by F-ennekins and xredriverx, so I guess you can thank them for the pictures).

Look at that border though. It is perfect. And done. And now I only have to stitch beads into every single little gap. And around the dragon. And in every empty hexagon of the border.

For those few followers I’ve gained recently, this was originally a place for me to post cross stitch. But don’t worry, I also stitch Sailor Moon (and in fact have a small piece on the go, although it’s probably going to be on hiatus until I’ve done my Christmas commissions now).

Those will also get posted here. Prepare for an (eventual) slew of Hobbit film quotes. And Silm quotes for myself, as I am finally reading it.
