This post is uncharitable to people who may have already sought these resources via Reddit, unkind to the people who actually didn’t know about them, and one step away from being misinformation.
It contains valuable information, and many people with Tumblr fundraisers probably COULD use that information, so I don’t want to discount the whole post or OP’s intent, but I find its tone intensely unkind.
Don’t go harass OP about it, it’s already been explained here/in the notes & I have no idea how old this post is!
This post contains exactly four resources which allow fundraising, without labeling which they are. (r/Assistance, r/Charity, r/care, r/gofundme).
Thank you so much for these resources, but please find a way to offer resources people may not know about without assuming everyone posting a fundraiser on Tumblr hasn’t tried them. Some people even post in both places. Tbh, I encourage you to post in both places.
If you’re new to reddit, I’ll go over things like “what’s karma?” at the end of this post. Look for the sunflowers.🌻🌻 It’s not as complicated as it sounds; karma’s not hard to earn if you have the time to, but the main issue IS time.
Don’t feel bad about sharing your GoFundMe/whatever on Tumblr. People on Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook—along with friends and family—paid my friend’s bills when he missed work due to COVID. This site is full of people who want to help; please seek that help, we want to support you. But yes, these are good resources that I recommend looking over.

You must have regular reddit activity for 60 days prior to making your request, and (I think) must continue that regular reddit activity after.
You must wait 30 days between fulfilled requests.
