It's that time of year again!!
I made this for a YouTube video I'm currently working on, but I was so happy with how good it turned out that I decided to post it here along with the timelapse! In total it took about 1h 40m (I'm slow...)
I painted it in segments because I plan on adding physics and animating it. I did it all in Clip Studio Paint, with 2 custom brushes and the symmetry tool. I also used a reference image
What's the point in making an OC if you can't give them a tragic backstory?
Have you ever had an OC for years that you've never drawn before? Anyway, here's Voryx. He eats people 😊
Slowly getting the hang of this new art style I'm trying out.
Also I'm back on the Midworld train in case you couldn't tell 😂
I was gonna write some pretentiously deep quote but all I can think of is 'It fuckin sandy' so have fun with that 😂 (Also there's a bunch of little Gorns in the frame, iykyk heh)
I'm still playing around and exploring this art style but I'm kinda enjoying it a lot even though it looks like I've regressed a bit. I guess sometimes you gotta regress to see progress or something
I was invited to take part in a collab hosted by Finnautica on YouTube. We had to do an elevator pitch for our OC stories and design a poster for it. Of course, I'd take any opportunity to talk about these guys!
You can watch the video and see my speedpaint of this poster HERE!
Trying out different art styles. The hand holding the sword is a hot mess but I like the rest of it.
Maybe one day I'll start drawing backgrounds too...
I found a textured brush I like for doodles hehe
Messing around with gradient maps again
I came across some art by Peter Mohrbacher and wanted to try out his style of painting. I chose my friend's OCs to practice on for Art Fight hehe. I love how it turned out, even though I have a lot to learn when it comes to shading and it took me a long time to paint compared to my usual style.
I might practice this style some more though, I really enjoyed it!

I drew MarchClub's old men for Art Fight. The eyes are a little messed up but besides that I like how it turned out!

People have the coolest OCs I swear

My favourite thing about Art Fight is that I got to draw things I've never tried before. I'm already excited for next year haha
