Hello, welcome to the page :>

My name is Atlas and I'm just an person who desperately wishes to infodump (hopefully not into the void ;-;)

This is where I'm going to post art, writings, and rants about my various hyperfixations and other passions.

Posts are a bit sporadic because I'm a chronic lurker at heart and forget to post half the time lol

I feel like no ones talking about that one scene in the movie where Josh was stretching and boxing before the show and we need to talk about it because my god.

I believe that Nova can still be the final Clancy. She needs some time but she'll get there. This just feels like a particularly shitty part of the road to improvement. They'll still go through cycles but it won't be so hard or life changing, it will be Nova's cycles not Clancy's if that make sense. It won't be such a violent rebirth, she gets to be herself, she get to live as she is now, going through small changes, small cycles most people go through instead of dying and having to start all over. Nova's not the same as how she started but she'll be okay in the end.

Thinking about how Nova says "this is the last time that I try" not because they're giving up but because they are vowing to themself that they will never go through this again. It's a promise, it's a threat. They are going to do everything in their power to never be hurt again even if it means hurting others in the process.

I like to think that Torchbearer is very aware of all his issues but chooses to push it to the back of his mind for the sake of everyone else. He knows he pushes himself too far, he is aware that he is never vulnerable with anyone, he understands that not allowing himself to express a negative emotion is bad for him, but the weight of the world sits on his shoulders and he makes baring the weight his priority. Disillusioning himself that he doesn't need to prioritize himself, that he can handle it

And it's so true that Clancy gets to see a deeper less put together side of him compared to anyone else. I had it in my mind but I didn't mention in the og post.

Honestly this reminds of a something I wrote in a fic I'm working on >:]

Here's the snippet:

"Torch had fucked up a lot with Clancy, not just tonight but throughout their lives. Which happens when your friends for so long, you mess up, you hurt each other. But it was okay, they'd make up, they'd apologize, they'd do better by each other, they'd make things work because they cared so much for each other, because they had to, if they didn't there would be consequences that affected everyone. That was the hard thing about their relationship, the state of their world relied on it. If Torchbearer couldn't guide Clancy, how was he supposed to guide his people, if Torchbearer did something that made Clancy fail in defeating the Bishops he'd never forgive himself. There was the weight of the cosmos that laid on Torchbearer's shoulders, that made it hard not to overthink, to crank up the positivity, to pretend to be someone he only kinda was. He hated to do that around Clancy, the one person who was like him, the one person who understood what the weight of the world felt like."

Drawing in an app (Antistress) that was never meant for art like this

Really fun! It helps me experiment with color and work on my values in general, I didn't do the best with it but the limited color palette was killing me, they had like all the same values T-T

Also drawing with my finger with only access to 2 brush sizes was fun, like I leaned into it being messy and not perfect cause I knew it was gonna be botched

Overall highly suggest drawing in a something not meant for drawing, it really helps you focus on different things and go more basic in a way ^-^

I'm just saying it would've been an amazing bit if David Tennant spoke in his normal Scottish accent for the 14th Doctor. It's a fun twist on bringing him back and it shows how the Doctor has changed since having the face before.

Being obsessed with your own character is amazing but sucks at the same time, cause on one hand that's your little guy, you came up with them and they are everything you want them to be but on the other hand you gotta make all the content for them, so if you wanna enjoy the story you gotta write it, if you wanna enjoy some art of them you gotta draw it yourself.
