Hi Saurus, I was just checking your yt channel's Nanjo do radio ep 65 subs(thanks for that btw) and I wanted to know is there a part 3/4 of the segment because frankly listening to these two parts Nanchan comes off as a bit of an ass while promoting Kussun's Calendar Koibito(she even says not to buy her album if ur not her fan- you don't say that even as a joke, not for the album ur promoting) My Jolks heart just wants2know the deal with that.
You’re misunderstanding Nanchan here. She’s acts a bit more mischievous on her radio show and tends to plainly say her jokes. It probably takes some getting used to for some people because this wasn’t how she was during μ’s radio shows.Kussun and Nanchan actually have a running joke between them where they address each other formally, hence the whole “Kusuda-san, Nanjo-san” thing. (Nanchan even slipped and called her Kussun towards the end of Part 2) And the section in Part 2 where she mentions:“Eh? Yeah, it’s OK if you don’t buy it. wwww If you’re not her fan, it’s alright if you don’t buy it. But if you’re a fan, sure.”She’s telling her fans that there’s no pressure to buy Kussun’s album just because she’s promoting it on her solo radio show. She’s been talking about her friend’s album since the start of her personal radio show, which she rarely does - of course some of her loyal fans will assume that she’s hinting that they should also buy her friend’s album. They’d definitely do that for her, so she wants to take pressure off of them by saying that. That’s the context of the statement.It’s pretty evident that Nanchan knows a lot of the producers/lyricists on Calendar no Koibito. Tbh, Kussun probably consulted her throughout the recording process, which is why she knows so much - “Rather than promoting the album, it’s more like I’m boasting about it, oh no.” They have a very close relationship and joke around with each other a lot, especially on Instagram. Why would Nanchan devote half of her weekly personal show to promoting Kussun’s album if she meant anything bad?
