The people who send the vile messages are so young too. If you look at their twitter and instagram handles, they are rarely over 20. Most are between the ages of 15-18 and they are just so nasty and cruel with their comments. When people try to call them out, all it takes is a couple of people to agree with them to empower them. These kids are learning how not to feel anything towards anyone except being judgemental

As an older fan I am really horrified that what you’re saying is true. They’re learning from older larries who have no scruples or shame and will gladly throw them under the bus to absolve themselves of any culpability for their actions.

If you are presenting opinions as facts and theories as truth then it is fostering the environment where other fans feel justified in making these attacks.
