Animation
This September the Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festival went online due to COVID 19, so the Women in Film SE15 event – How Did We Get Here? was virtual.
Of course it is not the same as the energy at a live event, but we think we did pretty well, as we had good conversation from our workshop attendees, Terry Wragg from Leeds Animation Workshop and two members from The Voice of Domestic Workers.
Thank you to all who joined us on the night and those who have watched the video afterwards. Head to our website to view the collective animation and Q&A: womeninfilmse15.wordpress.com/2020/10/20/wifse15-talk-animation plus see more about our collective workshop.

Mum Before Me Exhibition
Mum Before Me: an exhibition inspired by our mothers
I am extremely happy to be part of this exhibition celebrating our mothers before they became mums. I am not sure if I will ever know who my mum was beyond being my mum, but I believe she had a rebellious streak and those stories shall forever remain with her. I am content to piece together what I think from old photographs and stories told to me, but I am her daughter, so I know she didn’t always follow the rules.
The exhibition opens on International Women’s Day, Thursday 8 March, and on the following Sunday, 11 March at 3pm, there is a celebration at the gallery of Mother’s Day with performances by the Rye Poets, other voices and Caroline Gregory. Everyone is welcome - Text © Around Dulwich

CAROLINE GREGORY
Caroline Gregory is a contemporary artist concerned with developing her practice alongside working with children and adolescents.
Caroline’s live work includes a series of responses to specific spaces and the people who inhabit them. Most recently this summer’s Café Gallery Projects Bermondsey Artist Groups ‘Common and Garden Exhibition’ where she presented a live art piece as tribute to the social reformer Ada Salter entitled ‘I’ve been a little Unwell’
Often a period of on-site research will culminate with a live performative piece. The work is concerned with personal and universal meanings, often involving the collecting of stories and memories held in objects and places. A vital part of this process is an intention for nurturing relationships that will excite meaningful exchange and participation.
