I think rigidity kills creativity.
I had recently applied to be an ambassador for this app, purely voluntary since I've been getting into content creation (specifically videos) and the potential market value of these roles.
It was a passion project, for sure.
However, when I got a positive response in return, I did not expect the long list of rules and regulations.
Rules are to be expected of an ambassador but the rigidity of them in addition to the quantity and quality of the content they demanded makes you pause and scratch your head.
How on earth am I meant to be creative, yet follow all the rules?
How was I meant to keep quality content up when I have to post twice a day?
The rules were incredibly specific, and dare I say unrealistic too. I'd genuinely be surprised if it gets any reach or likes, much less follows to the advertisement account.
No posting irrelevant content. You have to show your face, *and* the faces of others (which is questionably difficult if you value posting consent the way I do).
I don't want to give away what app it's for but one of the criteria was to only have images of people, no places, food, animals or random objects. Just people. I feel like that was a bit ?? I mean who only posts people? I think it's very human to take pictures of beautiful scenery, cute animals and aesthetic foods.
You're not allowed to have any more than 2 gap days between posting (which is already difficult considering the target quantity would require twice a day every month regardless).
If anyone has any insight to this, I'd love to hear it.
Do you think that the rules are fair?
How do you film, edit and post content in batches and ensure the quality and quantity matches? Especially when you have multiple commitments in your life?
Should I give it up altogether?
