❝Ah guess we just dislike some things–Nothing can ‘elp it.❞ He says with a shrug of his shoulders. He wasn’t going to argue or anything about it–He’ll just accept it. There’s nothing wrong with disliking cockroaches, he just couldn’t understand why is all.

The blue gem had to laugh at that and nodded his head in an admitting manner.   ❝You got me there, that’s exactly wot Ah am talking about…They’re just so pretty and cute–Like the other cute things that are on Earth!❞

“I like the male species on this planet. They see my smaller form and they automatically want to protect me! It’s like a knight in shining armour~” She sighed happily, pressing a flower to her cheek as she looked up to the sky and remembered the times where the males had protected her by instinct.

“It’s so fascinating and wonderful.” Looking back down to her hands, she wove the last few flowers into a necklace and offered it to her new friend.

Cerus arched a very impressed eyebrow at the weapon she produced. “I think we might be able to do that, aye. I learnt how to wield a weapon like that, but I have not really used the skillr”, he had to admit, nodding towards  the scythe.She lifted it effortlessly, he noted, as if it weighed nothing at all, even though it seemed heavy.

”That is a very impressive weapon”, he smiled appreciatively,carrying some dirt to pour over the now extinguished campfire, as well.

“Thank you. I had crafted it myself in my hometown long ago. Every person in my hometown was required to make their own weapon - since our kings were very afraid of someone attacking us. It was always a threat. “ She mused softly, staring at the ashes before she packed the rest of her campsite up. With her supplies and tent on her back, she easily grasped her scythe in her hands. “Would you like to try and hold it?”

well that was something he didn’t expect mainly cause he only turned down her offer twice “Uh its cool, but I an’t gonna help you I kinda just want to live my life in peace also I don’t think I would die if you cut my head off I would just go into my gem form.”

“There’s other ways to make sure to regenerate but that’s not the point. There’s a corrupted Gem in the area and I can’t handle it by myself. If you don’t help then it’s going to destroy most of this environment. “

“Sorry. I couldn’t help it.”  He said before he kissed her on the cheek.

“Well I could read you a bedtime story or we could do something else. Do you have anything in mind?” He asked the gem as he comb thought her hair with his fingers.

“I want to...hug you more and kiss you more...But if you wish to tell me a story then I would not mind as long as you are holding me.” She paused. “But I don’t sleep. I can pretend to but I don’t sleep...” Her silver gaze trailed down his chest then back up to his face.

Onion was glad that they enjoyed the mash potatoes as well, they were rather fun to play with after all. A warm smile had formed on his face, although it was very small. It didn’t fade however, even when she mentioned that there would be none left for him to eat. He was okay with it honestly, and so with one final stroke of the hand: he turned and splat the leftover mash potatoes, ushering an explosion of spuds that flew everywhere.

…Well, the kitchen was a certainly a mess now.

“Gah!” With mashed potatoes in her hair and on her face, the wide eyed Gem looked to her human friend. “Well, looks like we better clean soon before your mom comes. After we’ll have a bath and you can go to sleep!” Nuummite hoped he wouldn’t give her a hard time with that one - the bath. She remembered that even though Steven loved taking showers, it was such a hassle to tell him to do it. “Can you help me find the mop, Onion? “

Jack stared back at her silver eyes while she examined his features more closely, feeling somewhat awkward from the close proximity. He opened his mouth to answer her, but she had soon after turned away and went back to the pile of shattered pieces she was tending to earlier.

“Uh,” he started, brows furrowing for a moment. An Earth thing? Well, he didn’t know of any other planets that had this, anyway. “Yeah. And Santa’s just one of us. Every year he brings gifts to kids, which is probably why you hear about him so much.” He paused, a small smile crossing his lips, “…and there’s a lot of different spirits. Ones for hope, for memories, for dreams…and ones for seasons like I am. We all protect the children, too.”

There was a brief moment of silence afterward, him just watching her collect the pieces of the broken warp pad. He decided to speak up, asking a question of his own. “Nuummite, where are you from?”

Santa bringing gift to children. Steven had told her about such a person but she didn’t believe him to be real - or any of their made up stories to be real. But this winter spirit, standing only a few feet away, was very real and was talking about the others like they were just as real as she was.

But his question was expected - most wanted to know what planet she came from after she had revealed herself. It was a common thing here on Earth: curiosity. “I’ve come from Gem Homeworld. There’s really nothing else to call it though - since it’s not in your solar system.” She mused lightly, rubbing her sore arms as she settled another piece onto the pile.

“I traveled a really far distance to be able to come see the humans but they break my only way home and now I’m stuck.” She huffed lightly, a little irritated. Nuummite was often fond of humans but such acts like these made her see why they were still primitive.
