ᴋᴀᴛᴀʀɪɴᴀ ᴏʀɪɢɪɴs. in accordance w/ : vcnenosus. katarina was named by her mother, sofia du couteau in the memory of her late mother katherine deschamps. it was a name that sofia really loved it, since it meant ❛ pure ❜, & she wished for her daughter to grow into someone who was true to herself. held by none, tainted by none. she’d be pure to her core.
sᴏғɪᴀ. in accordance w/ : † & † by vcnenosus sofia deschamps, born in noxus prime to katherine & aurelien deschamps, was a sick, fragile woman. though this was something looked down upon by the noxians, her parents remained highly supportive towards her. due to this v. reason, she never participated in any sort of physical activities. she was a rather lean woman who’d easily get tired from doing much. & so, she compensated for her lack of strength by her witty words & quick thinking. she had resented the decisions made by general darkwill & someday wished to join his council to, well, council the man. she believed that he would bring down noxus someday w/ his idiotic tactics. & hence, she had studied hard in the strategies of war frame & politics. it was in a library, that she had met marcus du couteau. enchanted him w/ her speech & intelligence. following that, the two had spend quite a lot of time together. sofia had opened up to him regarding her weak immunity & marcus had attempted to help her w/ a ❛ medicine ❜ that he provided her w/. due to that v. reason, there was an significant decreased in how much she would get sick & she was eternally grateful for it. even her parents. the two had later on decided to get married and had their first child ━ katarina. a few years into the future, they had their second child ━ cassiopeia ; however sofia’s body could not hold any longer, and she passed away a few hours after giving birth. b/c of this, cassiopeia did not have a mother through out her childhood, however katarina had that privilege. katarina, when not training, would spend her time w/ her mother. time was of essence, this was something the kid had realised in her parent’s case. she could prognosticate that sofia would not survive for long & so, she wanted each moment to count. even though this was something katarina was apprehensive about, she liked to cling onto the hope that god could save her mother. however after her death, katarina grew cynical towards the idea of a higher up & disdained the idea of religion from her life. that being said, katarina gets her mother’s sharp tongue, mixed w/ her father’s brutality & it is something that she takes pride in ; knowing that this & her sister is the only thing that her mother left for her considering katarina does not resemble her mother much but more so resembling her father.
sᴍᴏᴋɪɴɢ. smoking is a bad habit that katarina picked up while she was in her teenage years. initially, it started as an act of rebellion against her father whenever she had an argument w/ him. though, as the number of altercations started to increase, she started to smoke a lot more. at a point in her life, katarina could be labelled as a chain smoker, but it was w/ cassiopeia’s request & help that she toned it down to a lot less. katarina, now only smokes when she is unusually, highly stressed.

ᴋᴀʏɴ.
Sun shifts from it’s zenith & casts shadows. She hides behind the statues of Darkwill, overgrown moss. & it is far too hot of a day, sweat underneath the cloak. Caress the temples, the drops slide close to her eye. She wipes, though mind not once disturbed, she observes. On a doorstep, he waits. W/ a garden of lush flowers & tall, sharp ends. A rather stark contrast ━ an Erodie architecture home of hers. Momentarily, things have gone silent. A pause in each movement, like her breath too, has ceased, lingering w/ burning lungs. & all too suddenly, the walls of the mansion have turned liquid, he moves through them. Disappearing. A panic rouses, and she moves towards the windows, posthaste. Quick work w/ a knife, she enters, breaking through the privacy. Déjà vu.

Sometimes she visited the mansion. Away from her crypt, she comes to see her beloved family – one of them being currently away. Cassiopeia despised the life of assassins and blades for hire, she hated to be ordered around thus why she never followed Katarina’s path ( after all Talon was already on it. )
But foolish was the one to think the younger of the two was a fragile flower.

Draped across a sofa upon soft pillows with her tail lazily curled around the seat’s handle ; the serpent lets long bright locks run down to the marble floors alike a blonde river. She offers her sister a sharp grin.
“But now.. Now i don’t need it anymore for the words still spill but with a touch of pain — the fear i bring replaced the beauty that drawn them close.”
Reptile like eyes close for a second as she delights herself in the warmth of the house ( something she seems to do a lot more since then. )

ᴄᴀssɪᴏᴘᴇɪᴀ. ❝ But I need you to help me solve them. Fucking irradiate them. ❞ Words spoken w/ aggression, though sound casual. It had somewhat become a normal ━ the zeal in everything she said, she did. Though the irritation seemed to only raise w/ the brightening lights, the night was hers, the dimness was what she preferred. Signing her domestique, ❝ Just turn off the fucking lights. ❞ & she returns w/ a sigh & a beseeching look for her blood, ❝ Listen, I really need you, okay. I can’t dress all fancy by myself. I need you to pick clothes for me & for God’s sake, please make sure they are comfortable enough for me to run around. I can’t go around stabbing a few arrogant shits otherwise. ❞ A pause, a few crisps chewed on, & offered to the other, ❝ It’s a stupid fucking party. There is no other way, that I can get this man. Help me Cass, I really, really fucking need this. ❞

Of dull colours & prowess, Noxtoraa stands in the background. The empire boils under the afternoon sun & so does the lustre of his armour. He lays on his stomach, dents in the precious metal, blades poking through & a dagger in the hands. The Sinister Blade stands, triumph. Yet again. Body quivers, paint the streets a pretty deep red, his throat slit. An incision from ear to ear. Filthy Shuriman blood. Low commanding officer, Ali Shah. One amongst the many. They call themselves ❛ Suns of Bel’Zhun. ❜ Deserving — I could spit on you & a flock of flies would wander over anytime. You are just another body for the gutter. You deserve no Bel’Zhun of your own. Hand slides — cleaning the dagger, spray his blood on half broken paved roads. She remembers the stories of Hagyos Valif & Hazir Ima’Sai. & the rest would remember stories of her. Thicken the air, she notices the change. A voice from behind reaches & she answers to the call. ❝ Murder is busy work. What exactly have you come to see? My proficiency w/ the blade? No longer can she hide in cloaks w/ daggers. Stench of blood on paved streets on one corner, the other of complete contrast. In tatterred clothes, one begs, rewarded w/ a punch, & it is a scene all too familiar. Noxus is an empire for the strong, & Shieda Kayn has returned. Honey’d tongue of her beloved sister hissed, spoke of the boy who was once left the clutches & returned w/ claws of his own. His sharp against hers. May she see his strength ; but was it curiosity or the money on the table? Of both, she supposed. & so a leap of faith, grace of a feline, albeit she was barely a woman of sophistication. But her steps — light as one, she stalks, whispers under her breath, a reminder, ❝ Shieda Kayn has returned. ❞
