I Want to Write Things

*sigh* I have a big giant problem. It'd be one thing if it was just 'writing block' (which it was, at first), but realistically speaking at this point it's just avoidance. I can do stuff, I just don't, which is a problem, right? It is a problem. It's hard to force myself to stop staring at the wall all day while thinking "I should do that". And then going to sleep with "I'll do it tomorrow". Each day. Every day.

The good news is I'm starting antidepressants. The bad news is also that.

I want to preface by saying that I am writing this to reach out as privately as I can and do not require a response. Not to stop you from giving one, but to remove the obligation.

The way you respond to comments and asks is rude. It is entitled. It’s gotten to a point where you’re known for being mean. That is to say, this is not a single held opinion from one person but something i have heard online over and over again. And I am a big believer of letting people know when there is an issue, and allowing them to grow.

You don’t have to approach every single comment or ask so hostile and condescending. People aren’t stupid. They enjoy your content and want to interact and ask you things. You throwing it back in their face and continuously saying things to put them down is not nice. It’s not pleasant to see.

And sure, its your blog and your fics. You can be as mean as you want. But don’t be surprised when people don’t want to talk with you. I think you consistently shame people for liking things, or having certain opinions, which is such a weird and depressing way to go about fandom. Just enjoy yourself. Stop putting other people down and assuming you’re the smartest person in every single interaction. That you’re somehow superior because your opinions are “correct”.

You genuinely make lovely art. And you don’t have to be a good person to continue making lovely art. But i hope this makes you consider how you speak to people, and gentles your approach. Because I think you would have a much nicer time in the fandom and online - which i’ve seen you complain about a lot- if you were nice to people.

What a weird thing to say! I am rude and condescending, I agree, but you just called me a bad person! That's very rude. And I have, what, ten personal posts up here?

I have actually only reasonably talked to two people on this platform, who are my friends, and most of my responses to comments consist of "glad you liked it"! I had about three unpleasant conversations on Ao3 so far, so I have no idea what you're talking about!

I like people who like me, I dislike people who dislike me, and my opinion is my opinion. Who did you hear it online over and over again from considering I don't talk to people is beyond me, so I'm not gonna guess.

I am not actually in the fandom! I don't interact with anything enough to consider myself an active participant!

Yes, I like smart things! And I encourage intellectualism! Always strive to be smarter, it's a life skill!

Due to my poor eyesight, I mistook tengu!Madara's wings for legs because I didn't see the leg wraps nor the feathers at first. I thought Madara had freaky long frog legs that ended in claws until I saw the feathers and leg wraps.

Anyway, good art, Tobirama's mirth made me smile

Anyways, what kind of frog do you think he'd be? It'd be a black frog, though based on this exact design I guess only something like Melanobatrachus indicus would do? Look, it even has orange blots on its chest.
