āHey, you said it, not me.ā He propped his hands up playfully, pretending to give a defensive little shrug before ducking inside behind her. Glancing around, her apartment gave him little insights into her life, smiling to himself at what was sitting out or laying around. It was proof of the place being lived in, and proof that she was real. More than once heād wondered how that was possible, but here they were. Every laugh he managed to draw out of her was one more victory, and one more cloud added to the pile he was floating on. Though it was obviously the punchline of their shared joke, he couldnāt help himself from grinning a tiny bit smugly; he was the lucky guy either way.
āOh, yeah, about that ā thereās definitely wasabi filling inside one, but itās a surprise, so have fun.ā His eyes were bright as he teased her. No, he had taken care to make sure those flavors were well-liked, and then improved on them, adding just a little something extra here and there. Oscar hoped it wasnāt actually too much, but when she leaned in close to kiss his cheek ⦠Maybe heād try to always have cake pops on hand if this was the response he got from her. Hell, if she asked, he probably would.
āYou can pop the pops into the fridge, theyāll live. Theyāre always pretty moist even when I do that.ā He offered genuinely, pleased that she was actually interested in how to keep them ā although overall pretty thrilled that she was interested in him at all. āOh, yeah? Trying to get buzzed before the movie?ā Oscar chuckled, inclining his head towards her. āWeāve still got some time before it starts, I donāt mind if you donāt mind. Let that other guy catch me stealing his girl, right?ā
āDid I say it? Pretty sure I just repeated what you said to me.ā She retorted with a chuckle, it was so easy with him. He brought out a side of her that she always tried to keep to herself, she didnāt like to really put herself out there for others to possibly hurt her. Yet when she thought of him, she didnāt have a worry that he would hurt her or play with her feelings. She wouldnāt be able to tell you why but it was something about him. She smiled softly before shaking her head slightly, hoping he didnāt find her place to be too plain. She didnāt like putting too many things up on her walls and didn't like clutter. That smug little smile that touched his lips caused her to bite her cheek. Oh he was trouble, that she was looking forward to getting to know.Ā
Laughing as he went on about one of them definitely having it inside she bit the inside of her lip once more shaking her head, āOh Iām going to have fun, maybe Iāll wait to eat it until youāre here and kiss you right after.ā she stated with a wink, not even really realizing that she just admitted to thinking about kissing him. She cleared her throat some as she nodded when he said that she could toss them in the fridge, āperfect.ā she stated happily before she was setting them on the counter for now.Ā
Turning to face him once more, her hands now bare, she gave him a smile before laughing, āI like to live on the edge.ā she teased before looking down at the incline of his head. She pressed her lips together, unable to keep the heat from touching her cheeks, moving to the cabinet and pulled out whiskey glasses and then grabbed the bottle pouring some out into them both, āMmm you know now I feel like you gotta work to steal me from this other guy.ā she teased bringing the glass to him keeping her eyes locked on him.
