My sister and I were talking about how knb is especially lacking in the Aspects of Typical Life department, even for sports anime, and how we wished there was a bit more slice of life (like the ova) rather than the show being 99% basketball

But then I thought (and maybe I am late to the game here) that maybe we should think of the story as more of a different, fantasy universe, where it’s less so that the characters are doing non-basketball things off-screen only, and more like, they don’t really do those things at all. Like, all facets of life as WE know it are present in and experienced through basketball. Not only is the story about basketball, but the world itself is.

In other words, ball is life ⛹️‍♂️

I really can’t hate the last game ending. In fact I quite like it and felt it was pretty satisfying for a few reasons

1. I feel like the “main duo” separating is a very typical sports anime ending so I wasn’t really surprised or upset by it

2. It was GAY AS HELLLLL!!!! Are you kidding me????

3. Kagami is coming back he said it himself guys trust

4. It’s not even canon. :) though I am kind of ambivalent on this one because I kind of wish kagami sprinting through a freaking airport and crying and saying all that stuff WAS canon

Only thing is like. What seirin gonna do without him? The whole point is that kuroko can’t play by himself. They are never winning another tournament lmao. I think it would’ve made more sense if it were their third year and kagami were getting scouted for college ball in the us. But sure fine
