Born in Billings, Montana to a middle class family of 5. Brody grew up playing sports but showed an interest early on in entertainment as well. He tried to do both throughout his formative years but by high school dance and theater were winning out. Wanting to be one of the few people to leave his home state, he focused on singing and dancing and applied to colleges mostly out in California as well as New York.
NYADA's acceptance letter marked a new chapter for Brody, leaving behind his family and all that he'd known for an unknown future in the Big Apple. Even with the scholarship he'd acquired he was going to have to work his ass off to pay for the opportunities. Odd jobs consumed most of his free time, and thanks to the advice of some friends he'd made he began to work out and give himself something of a big city makeover.
It worked, and by his second year the confidence boost had landed him a job working as a Teacher's Assistant for one of the top dance instructors and professors at NYADA. It apparently also turned some heads, as Brody found himself in a friends-with-benefits situation with that same professor, or perhaps more specifically a benefits-for-grades situation. That little bit extra helped to rank Brody near the top of his class all the way to graduation.
And through some other connections he'd made, Brody found himself working as a gigolo. Suddenly his money issues were in the past, and he indeed graduated from NYADA near the top of his class while keeping a secret of just how he was paying his way.
After leaving school Brody tried to make a go in the theater world, working mainly in Off-Broadway ensembles and the occasional shot in a Broadway ensemble. The level of competition was eye-opening, and the most high-profile role Brody was able to land was Drew Boley in a national touring company production of Rock of Ages.
After a few years of working, supplementing his income as an escort, a severe knee injury during a dance practice threw everything into turmoil. And as Brody considered his future, now deep into his 20's, rehabbing his knee gave him a new interest beyond performing. He enrolled in kinesiology studies at NYU, and once again found himself splitting his time between studying and paying the bills as a gigolo until eventually graduating once again.
Now Brody has found himself back at the place it all started once again, working at NYADA as a Professor of Kinesiology. It wasn't long after starting his job however that his past managed to catch up to him. Higher ups at the college learned of his past indiscretions with his professor, and have quietly put him under intense scrutiny to ensure it doesn't happen again with students or faculty.
