Miraculous Ladybug Idea

- Lila is back on her lying bullshit and Marinette is done™️

- Marinette is exhausted and goes to the bathroom to rant

- She sees that one of the stalls is closed and thinks it’s Alya

- Marinette starts to rant about Lila

- Marinette is mid sentence when the stall door opens and Chloe comes out instead 

- Marinette starts to fumble and stutter but Chloe stops her mid sentence

- “Honestly Dupain-Cheng, I don’t even know why you bother.”

- “Huh?”

- “I mean, come on, it’s not like this peasant matters. If she isn’t worth the dirt on the bottom of your tacky pink shoes, then she isn’t worth your energy.”

- Marinette pauses, shocked to hear advice from Chloe about Lila

- “I guess you’re right. I’d never thought about it that way before.”

- The atmosphere in the room changes and Chloe and Marinette leave the bathroom in a comfortable silence

- cut to the next day at the beginning of class where Chloe and Marinette acknowledge each other with a not-so-subtle nod that everybody in the class notices

- Chloe and Marinette slowly acknowledge each other more and more

- One day, after Lila is done being especially annoying and deceitful, Marinette is silently stewing but trying to not let it bother her like Chloe said

- Chloe and Sabrina walk over to Marinette at her desk

- “C’mon Dupain-Cheng. We’re going shopping.”

- Everybody in class looks up in surprise, including Marinette

- “Huh?”

- “You heard me. There’s a new pair of Louis Vuitton sunglasses that are calling my name.”

- The class watches in shock while Marinette, Sabrina, and Chloe leave together and get in Chloe’s limo

- Cut to bonding between Chloe, Sabrina, and Marinette while Chloe gives Marinette a bougie makeover

- Marinette, Chloe, and Sabrina all wearing Gucci slides and Louis Sunglasses while sunbathing on the roof of the Bourgeois’ hotel 

- Next day in class, Marinette comes in all glammed up wearing her new Louis Vuitton sunglasses and a Gucci necklace and just sits down at her desk

- Everybody commenting how Marinette looks so different but her new style looks really good

- Lila telling everybody how her uncle is a head designer for Gucci and then telling Marinette that she has a necklace just like Marinette’s, except that it’s gold instead of silver

- Cut to Marinette slowly looking over at Lila, pulling her Louis shades down her nose, and just saying “I’m sorry, I don’t speak thot. Who are you again?” 

- Chloe and Marinette fist bump

Marinette does NOT cry because of Adrien

I’ve seen a few people saying that Mari’s breakdown is because she can’t stand seeing Adrien and Kagami together but that can’t be true. If that were the case, she would have had this breakdown after she left them at the ice cream stand. It’s definitely a contributing factor to her crying like that, but I think the real reason she’s crying so hard at the end of loveater is a mix of things. It could be because she feels it’s her fault that Fu is gone and Hawkmoth potentially has the miraculous. On top of that, her relationships with Adrien and Chat are both changing. Chat was flirting with Kagami, not her, and didn’t call her his lady. I don’t think Mari would cry that hard because of a boy, but maybe she would for her best friend and mentor. Everything is changing and getting harder as she grows.

Additionally, in Kwami Buster, Mari has a convo with Tikki about how she can only be her real self with her. There are no lies between them. That’s got to be taking a toll on her. She is constantly lying to Alya, her parents, and her teachers about where she is all the time. She’s lying to Chat about her identity and why she can’t return his feelings. She’s lying to Adrien about her feelings for him. She’s not being true to herself.

Either way, I think everyone can relate to this moment and it definitely made me cry. Even as a grown 21 year old, this episode had me in tears.

Miraculous Thoughts:

Whether it’s Marinette or Adrien// Ladybug or Chat Noir, someone’s lucky charm will appear towards the end. Don’t get me wrong I know that both would only reveal themselves if there was no other option— aka in the heat of battle. But for goodness sakes Ladybug herself says “lucky charm” every episode. And all the possible puns are just too good to ignore. Maybe the lucky charms are tied in with realizing their feelings for one another? But I’d like to think it’s a reveal option and that they play a crucial role.
