Not for the first time, Inuyasha wondered just how Kagome managed to find so much pleasure in so many of the simplest things in life.
She’d just come back from her era wearing the most….well, he didn’t quite have the words to describe it, but it seemed like a very thick, loudly colored, strange gi that was adorned with glitter and blinking lights. There appeared to be a stich design in the shape of a puppy wearing a red hat with a whit, puffy ball on the end and the light pattern trailed along the outline of the design. And Inuyasha didn’t know much about the clothing of Kagome’s era, but it seemed like it’d be very itchy.
In short…it wasn’t sensible, and by all accounts he thought it was downright hideous. But she seemed positively thrilled to show it to him.
As she climbed out of the well, she practically danced on her toes in front of him, doing a little spin and animatedly talking about the functionality of the “sweater” and why she wore it.
“And when I saw it had an adorable, white puppy dog on the front I couldn’t NOT get it! I mean, it reminded me of you, don’t you think?”
He scrunched up his nose and tilted his head.
“Okay. I don’t know whether to be offended or…nope…wait, I’m offended,” he said. “That thing ain’t practical, Kagome. And to be honest it looks horrible.”
“That’s the point! It’s an Ugly Sweater! It’s supposed to be funny and make people laugh!” She said. Inuyasha tsked as he hefted up her yellow bag and they began their trek back to the village.
“You might actually attract more demons wearing that thing.”
“Oh, ha, ha! Very funny!” she said, slapping his arm.
