"shouta that's a baby," he stated, dumbfounded by the entire situation. this was not what he was expecting when shouta got home and called out that he 'found another stray'. "where did he come from??"

"found him in the trash," shouta said plainly, as if there was absolutely nothing wrong with that sentence. the child was helpfully nodding along. hizashi felt his eye twitch.

"shouta that's a baby."

"a kitten," his husband agreed easily.

"meow," the child innocently chimed in.

I can totally see Izuku eating something he is like deathly allergic to right after EraserMic adopts him because he doesn’t want to bother them. Like imagine they just sat down for breakfast and Izuku kind of hesitated but then decides he can just use his epi-pen later.

Hizashi: oh shit, I totally forgot to ask if you were allergic to something.

Izuku: Oh, just eggs.

Shouta, Hizashi, Izuku: *looks at Izuku’s half eaten omelet*

Hizashi: WHAT?!?

But he was always strong enough. He was always a caring and protective person.

He was and is a hero, always lifting others to greater heights.

He just never truly understood and believed it until Midoriya said it.

(long story short, izuku has a cat-ish quirk and ends up in the care of erasermic. they offer him a bunch of their spare jumpers to choose from and he chooses the silly cat one. shota is beyond proud).
