there's nothing loser-ish about a low spice tolerance! about 20-50% of it is genetic, the rest is just training yourself! but some people just don't have the tolerance no matter what!! i would stay away from med/hot dishes!! and anything wasabi!! if you can tolerate the taste of curry powders (seasonings without the spice) then you may like mild curry! but this also depends on how you feel about indian curry! the textures between indian and japanese curry can and will differ but the base taste is pretty much the same! i find a lot of people don't like indian curry and then get dissapointed with japanese curry but the cool part about that is if you can handle non-spicy indian curries, you can handle japanese curry! (also japanese cuisine has a weird thing with spice where jalapeños or crushed red peppers are the hottest thing in the world but the second you say a wasabi snack is too spicy, everyone thinks you're a baby. save me !!!!)
ANYWAYS! i luv microwave food! my biggest tip is that if you feel like you cannot finish something, cook ALL of it still! and put the unfinished portion in the FREEZER 🌨 instead of the fridge! this can help keep the water content of the food fairly intact and stop bacterial overgrowth, which is very very common in starchy foods! 🦠🦠🦠🦠🦠 improperly-handled pasta will get you way sicker than you can imagine!! freezing portions will extend your snacks, keep you safe, and remain tasty!!!!! :3
my staple list:
instant ramen (the og!)
mac and cheese
frozen broccoli (literally so good just in the bag if you add seasonings!)
frozen peas (only if you like them! good with mac and cheese imo! also what if you have a duck visit you??? 🫛🦆)
frozen loose corn
frozen pre-cooked burger patty (i use veg alternatives! this works also as a ground beef substitute, often!)
microwave pasta (barilla has a "ready" brand in retort pouches! it tastes kind of weird on its own but its easier than a boiling stove)
MICROWAVE RICE!! 🍚 if you don't have a ricecooker or you just don't have it in you to use it, this stuff is amazing! i've liked it both in retort pouches and microwavable bowls :3
frozen waffles/pancakes 🥞🧇🥞🧇
any frozen berries or fruits :3 ppl forget you can also bake with these or make microwave-mug-desserts!! :3 alongside smoothies !
fries in those packages that crisp them up while you microwave them!
microwave popcorn, of course!! 🍿
some things i do with them:
fresh cabbage, chopped up to taste. deli meat (or veg alternative such as tofurkey) chopped up to taste. microwave both in one bowl with sauce of choice. (i like hoisin!) once they're cooked down to being soft, microwave your rice and add it to your bowl! freeze anything uneaten for later! :3
make mini kid cuisines!!! you can split up food while it's still frozen or microwave and freeze (please don't freeze and unthaw and freeze and unthaw, etc! but it's okay to cook once and freeze! ❄️) but split up a vegetable, mac and cheese, some fried chicken, and a dessert of your choice and arrange them on plates or trays to microwave later!
99% of why i don't really eat fast food from even vegetarian places is because i know that a burger and nuggets and fries are all possible with a microwave! you can even use cute utensils and plates and trays to make it like your own restaurant!!! way more fun than actually going to one! :3

holy shit my naturally thin friend (that i used to have the world's most insane limerent crush on and don't necessarily feel the same anymore but i'd be lying if i said i wouldn't say yes if he asked me to have a serious relationship but... none of this matters lol) took me out for tea and pizza today and we walked 10k steps in a few hours walking back and forth from one side of the city to the other. my feet hurt so bad. he dropped me off at my door and went to go walk all the way home which is another 3k steps for him??? ??? holy shit. turns out the key is straight up just endless walking because he ate over half of that pizza. my god
got to hang out with other jirais and gyaru irl today!! everyone was so kind and i had some of the best cookies! i was so scared about it all week but it truly was a wonderful time ୧ ‧₊˚ 🎐 ⋅ momonga got to have a snack too!!
when you take a hit of weed first thing in the morning and cough so hard that you have to actively plead and beg and barter with your stomach to not puke for about 20 minutes.

i like s&b brand btw!! Ი︵𐑼 it looks slightly different depending on where you live, i think? some places may not carry some specific lines like the golden line but if it says S&B in red in the corner, it's the tasty brand!! :p
if you wanna make your dinner like mine: first you put half of your curry packet in the bowl and put the other half in the fridge (for more meals later) and you microwave it to room-temperature. then you add HOT RICE!! and that's like it but here are some important additions:
steamed chunks of potatoes

oh! i'm vegetarian so i find the fake version but frozen fried chicken cutlet/tender/nuggets... very important!
if you need more protein added, make scrambled tofu or scrambled eggs in a separate container with tumeric and salt! then add it into your bowl :3
