Hey. I am here at last. I only have 3 days of college bound classes, but the teacher decides I need to write a 4 paragraph by the time I get back to class on Tuesday. I haven’t even got the chance to celebrate the fact I got my HSE or GED. Anyways, yesterday was my birthday. It was really nice. I know I owe a shit ton of people, so just be patient.
Olivia watched Alex go through the folder she placed down on his desk. As he read the file, she sat on one of the armchairs in front of his desk. She felt like she was allowed to do that since she was bringing in a lot of money to him and his company and she didn’t want to look awkward. When she leaned back on the armchair, Alex started speaking. She nodded at what he said. “Thank you for shedding some light on this,” she said with a pleased smile. “When I received that, I thought differently about you and your company.” She confessed.
Alex was going to investigate which of his employees sent out this letter and why it was sent out when he didn't give his approval. Now he was left to make it up to Octavia for the mistake his business made on his behalf. He moved the folder back in front of her and sat back in his own chair with a smile. “I am sorry you had to received a letter like when I made it clear I will do everything in my power to ensure your family home is safe with me.” He said with sincerity. “I don’t go back on my word once I signed a deal. Your family home is safe. And I know you will not accept being payment free for a month or two.” Criminals bosses usually spend money rather save the money. “So how about you and I go for a drink tonight?”
“I was simply pointing out that I can take care of myself.” She shrugged. “Well if you’re waiting for someone in this dark ally you’ll be waiting for a while. Barry got a call and left early. I’m not sure what he does down here but I really don’t want to know.”
“I don’t think you can defend yourself, just warned you.” This was news that she knew who was waiting for in this alley. “How do you know who I am waiting for?”
“Well,then you’ll hate me.” Stephanos said with a shrug, walking over to the car that was parked in the lobby. “My definition of fun would be very different with yours.” he said dryly, and opened the car door.
"You hope you like being hated." Karen liked the mystery that surrounded Stephanos. She walked over to the door that was opened with another smirk on her lips. "Why don’t you enlighten me then?"
As Ed brought both of his arms down, he gulped as he watched Destiny put down the mail opener that she was holding. But when he shifted his eyes to her, he forgot about it. “The first time I deliver one of my gifts to you and it sorta failed.” He said with a chuckle then nodded. “I could use a cup of coffee right now. Then maybe we can open your present.” He said before handing his gift to her.
Even though it was suppose to be a surprise that went wrong, Destiny did enjoy the gifts that were given from him and always something that she cherished. She did take the gift with a smile still plastered on her face. “Still, it’s the thought that counts.” She stated. “Coffee coming up.” She walked over to the kitchen, placing the gift down on the counter where she would sit. She always kept a fresh pot of coffee ready in case Ed made appearance. She grabbed the mug that she always kept just for him and poured the coffee in it. She reached inside of the fridge to get the milk and poured it in with the coffee. She grabbed the sugar bowl, spoon and coffee to allow him to add the amount of sugar he desired. She placed it down in front of him and went to make herself a cup.
“Who said I was talking about macing you? Sounds like you were planning something sketchy and are trying to play the nice guy. After all, you are hanging out in a dark ally.”
“You are the one who came out with the macing thing. There are some things I cannot tell a person, especially a stranger.” Like the fact that he was undercover cop. “But I waiting for something, not planning on a scheme.”
“Why did I agree to do this gallery show? There’s no way I’ll be ready in time, and I have to give a speech before hand, and it’s only a week away…”
“I don’t have a clue or I would give you an answer. Relax, girl! I know your speech will be fabulous.”
He raised a brow “Reall– I mean, awesome, how’s uh, italian sound?” Jack smiled, glancing at the girl.
“I love Italian.” Heather grinned. “Do you have a preferred place to go to or do you wing it?”
Riley nodded and smiled softly. “You did. You’re extremely successful, and you’re a wonderful man.” She rubbed his back gently, “Thank you for opening up to me. I know it’s not easy for you to do.” She added. She really did appreciate it; Riley had told him everything she could, and it was a relief that he was returning the favor.
Alex smiled some at the compliment about him being successful, but he didn’t know if he was a wonderful man. “I don’t open up because I don’t want sympathy.” He took her free hand in his own hand and placed a kiss on it. “My college life is one thing I can easily talk about.”
“Yeah I’ve lived here for a while and I’ve never had an issue. Plus I have it on pretty good authority that if I mace you in self defense it doesn’t matter that I don’t have a permit.” The blonde smiled at him as she spoke.
“It doesn’t mean that something won’t happen no matter how good it has been. It’s self-defense only when I have attacked you or threaten your life. I am only trying to be a good samaritan and warn you of the dangers of the alley.”
❝ OH it’s dangerous alright but not for me sweetheart. ❞
❝ Why is that? You are danger? ❞
“A lady like me? What exactly do you mean by that?”
“I mean as a in you’re too beautiful to be in this alley alone.”
She chuckled. ”I see you have that mysterious loner thing going on.” Talia looked around, knowing that they were so close to the bar and around this time, some shipments may be coming out. Shipments that didn’t need extra eyes to notice it. “If it’s so dangerous, then are you to escort me somewhere safer?”
Louis hasn’t been called a loner since his college days, but mysterious was new to be added to it. “I quite the loner.” He was working undercover to gain Intel on the biggest drug dealers in order to make the biggest bust in history. He wouldn’t mind escorting the lady out of the alley and out of harm’s way. “I can do that to ensure your safety.” He started walking in the direction of the exit of the alley way.
“the problem is, i can’t tell if you’re being sincere or… kinda creepy.”
“that does sound like something the secret psychopathic murderer says in the horror movie. they’re always good looking and charming.”
“this is a sincere warning from a man with good intentions.”
“and this is not a horror movie where i would lie about you being safe with me and i have sinister plans. i just want to ensure your safety.”
I am going to lay down since it is 12 in the morning here.
Cass stopped short when she realized someone else was in the alley. “I’ve never had a problem down here before. It’s the quickest way home.”
Louis had a usually job of waiting for a drug dealer to come through the alley. He was only surprised when this female walked through the alley without a care for the danger. “It’s not safe to be in this place regardless of the shortcut.”
“Dangerous in general or dangerous because you’re here?”
“It could be both if you think about it. Take your pick.”
