I would have liked to see more of Spencer Reid’s headaches to get a proper explanation on what was happening. I wouldn’t have minded if if had turned out to be his brain rebooting a new way of seeing things, like Sherlock Holmes.

  Kat blushed at Spencer’s offer. While she didn’t usually do things like this, the idea of spending more time with Spencer sounded like an opportunity she just couldn’t pass up. “I’d really appreciate that, Spencer. Thank you." the Marine said as she tried to hide her blushing cheeks by looking down at the table.

Since moving to Quantico, Kat hadn’t really been given the opportunity to relax much. Between the drills, simulators, and training she had only left the base for a grand total of a couple hours in the couple weeks she’d been there, and this is the longest she had been away at one time. It was nice to escape military life for awhile.

Spencer smiled again, saying, "No problem. You're new around, and I know the streets by heart, so I figured there's no harm in showing you around a bit." That, and there weren't many who were kind to him from the get-go. He was fairly likable outside of work, but on the job, he often got nothing but sass and teasing from strangers. 

"So, um... How long have you been in the Marines?" His rather pathetic attempt at conversation fell from his lips as he scrabbled to remember social niceties, gathering his books.
