I led a song: "Higher Ground" by Stevie Wonder!
All-nighter last night at #acappellacademy -- We didn't want to leave, but we vowed to spread the light of music throughout the world even after we were miles apart. I love you all more than you'll ever know.

Quiet hour = an hour of complete silence and I love it
A very rewarding day
Today we had this amazing moment in group rehearsal. Basically my group is singing this really powerful gospel song (no spoilers) and we had been practicing it for the past four days. What we had failed to do during practice was truly let ourselves connect to the song. Our group director, Hannah, had us all gather in a circle in our dark classroom and talk about what the song meant to us. We each took turns expressing our personal connections to the music and we got very emotional VERY quickly. After talking, we tried to sing the song again, but with added emotion. Long story short, I balled my eyes out. The experience left me in awe of how beautiful my humanity is, and how small we really are. I finally realized (FO REAL) how blessed I am to be at A Cappella Academy right now. So yeah I sat in that all day through practices, classes, a private viewing of Pitch Perfect, and a Q&A with the cast. But I couldn't quite seem to shake that beautiful feeling. Gotta love Him. Even though I didn't get the solo that I tried out for, or the recognition that I so long for from my peers, I felt accomplished and strong in a way that I haven't felt all week. A very rewarding day indeed.
A CAPPELLA ACADEMY TRIP UPDATE!
Thanks to all of the kind donations and support from friends, family, and peers, I will be able to attend A Cappella Academy this year! I am very very very very very excited about making this trip, and I hope that I can take all who are interested on this journey with me yet again! Thank so much everyone! <3

PTX Day
Today we took master-classes with Pentatonix. I took arranging and "Dress for Success". What I learned: • make sure your group's outfits are cohesive because it makes the choreo feel more cohesive as well • arranging with your group assures that the arrangement is singable live • A Cappella superstars are people too
Random ppl are singing in the cafè. They're not even from camp-HAHA #vocalrestplease
Where are my glasses doe
First (official) day at camp!
Today was awesome as expected. All of the kids here are super talented, and I can't wait to hear everyone in the showcase. Today we worked on choir music, group music, took a major class and an elective. I ended up in the arranging major again, but I am really looking forward to what it has to offer. I also took the elective about starting an A Cappella group and learned a lot about how to improve my up and coming, A Clubpella! Haha Ben, Avi, Shams, Rob, and Diana were teaching it and it was a really good question an answer class. Went to a send-of concert for the Azusa Chamber group and got to experience some amazing vocal music! Now I'm in bed, and will probably spend the entire night reflecting on today! Thanks again to everyone who has helped me get here!

Unfortunately, the tuition for the trip this summer is very expensive and I am responsible for raising $1895 to pay tuition.
