guys can we try to keep accessability at least a little bit in mind when making rentries? putting black text on dark backgrounds makes it very hard to read the text, same goes for the opposite. this isn't directly targeted at anyone, i've just noticed it a couple of times now :/

I really like the textures you use for your edits! Or like, the transparent images used in your icon to fill the space. Any chance you can share favourite sources, if they're not commissioned or your own work that you'd rather keep to yourself?
i'm not exactly sure what you mean anon, but i'm assuming you mean my recent icon set, and the stuff i use to decorate my frames? if so, i mostly just use the shape tool from photopea (also works on photoshop), you can also check for free vectors. then i also usually use some resources i find on pinterest, but you can also check resource rentries.
if you mean the frames themself, then i make them myself, and for now i'm not willing to share them.
You know, there is this one editor i followed a long time ago and they used to make really good edits but for some reason, they disappeared. I still think about them to this day

🩷: i unironically love mario. i 'cosplayed' him once when i was in elementary school, and even up until now i'm still very fond of him >_< i dislike it when ppl mischaracterize him by saying he's an asshole, a bad brother to luigi or other stuff like that bc NO he's a sweetheart through and through 💔 charles martinet envisioned him being very loving and whimsical, and he perfectly captured that energy for mario with his voice
🌷: okay i kinda have to start with ygo don't i? i've liked it since i was in elementary school or so bc they used to air ygo dm on tv and i watched it pretty often and it was just soo cool, the waking the dragons arc is still my favorite one even if it isn't manga-canon, the fact that atem was separated from yugi was super interesting, and the main antagonists of the arc were just rly intriguing. there are some things abt the franchise i don't rly like (the treatment of its female chars being the worst flaw) but overall i love it even if i'm not rly good at the card game and haven't properly played it in a long time :') maybe sometime i'm gonna start collecting ygo cards again bc i've been wanting to make a binder with all the cute cards.
🎀: i loveeee making icons of any kind, but i rly do like making complex icons, especially for hoyo chars bc they have assets related to their character. idk, i just love making icons that match the aesthetic of a char, and icons are usually just a lot easier for me to make than layouts. I do rly like making simple icons too though :]
🍨: i'm sadly rly not that good with typography, so anything involving unique looking text is something i struggle with. i'm rly impressed by ppl who can make all these cool logos/watermarks bc they manage to make them look so coherent while still keeping it easy to read. it's something i need to practice sometime in the future
🎠: blurred to death bc yes. guess what this is, but its honestly super obvious still
🧁: okay this is a personal one, but it annoys me sooo much how hard it is making psd colorings that look good on natural skin tones AND on anime skin tone, bc anime/gacha game skin tones tend to be so pale that most of my psds will just turn the skin completely white, but if i try to avoid that by using gradient maps for example, then the psd will look weird on dark skin tones often >:(
🧸: the blog(s) have been deactivated already, but i really liked serapojii/aurore-vacance's edits a lot. i love the animecore-ish style and the bright colors jiji used in the edits, but i might just be biased bc i like the aesthetic. again i have some of jiji's edits archived on @takeryo :] you will probably see me mention a lot of editors from 2023 editblr bc i'm still missing that era from editblr and wish it came back, it just felt so much more... alive? to me, and current editblr just kind of doesn't come close to what it used to be then.
🍰: misawa!!! i've been watching dna act II s2 and it's reminding me again just how great misawa are together as a battery. they push each other to become better versions of each other, and they're just so.. arghhhh. i love their dynamic and everything about them QwQ i love them so much together as a battery that i'm honestly kind of glad we didn't get a lot of sawamura/okumura as a battery. i was also so happy when sawamura became the ace bc he could finally have miyuki catch for him as much as he wanted to (and bc i don't like furuya that much sorry not sorry).
i need to prepare more attacks in advance TT i have one icon set almost done but idk what to do for the last two icons :/

Hi, I'm Inko! I've used other numerous names, but that is the one I use the most. I'm making a 'calling card' of sorts because of an unexpected shadowban I've found myself facing. I'm an editor that hasn't spent a lot of time here on tumblr but would like to change that. However, the algorithm isn't helping a lot, and most of my posts have ended up receiving no attention whatsoever. As such, I want to see if tagging others who also like to edit can help me not only dig my way out of this shadowban, but also help me integrate better into the editing community. I’m Bibi!! I’m like not really a tumblr veteran or anything and I’ve just started getting into editing, but it seems really really fun so I decided to make a side blog dedicated to edits!! I mostly do suggestions because I’m not 100% guaranteed to like how a project ends up looking and might like just end up pausing it to do something simpler, but I hope that in the future I can get comfortable enough to also take requests!! Most edits are for practice, and practice makes perfect, so I’ll try and post edits frequently to show my growth throughout the year ^v^
As of now I know how to do discord and tumblr themes, alongside moodboards and icons, but other things also look really fun so I’ll also try and like…Y’know, make those too!! >v< I’m really looking forward to interacting more with the community and stuff!!
