The cold gods. The ones in the night. The white shadows.
Taken from the river Styx~
I love characters that are completely harmless until they finally unleash their power and then theyâre TERRIFYING
or, even better: totally harmless but occasionally the other characters catch glimpses of whatâs underneath and you just know
Characters with raw, unbridled power, that choose compassion and kindess anyway

itâs almost midnight but i am here on Tumblr Dot Com to let everyone know that a fantastic and underused trope is âuses terms of endearment only when under huge amounts of stress.â
Like some character is fairly formal or is just not a pet names person but then they get a panicked phone call from a loved one and the first words out of their mouth are âSweetheart, what happened?âÂ
Team âI-only-ever-use-your-first-nameâ going âOh, jesus fuck, love, Iâm so glad youâre safeâ or âOkay, darling, you know I love you but I need some space to fix this giant messâ and everyone around them is like âoh god we have reached Pet Names Level Bad, thatâs not goodâÂ
this is the new trope I am championing, I would like it to be the Hot New Thing
Pan
the trans experience of, after running as far away from your forcibly assigned gender as possible, turning around and cautiously approaching it from the other side
As much as Iâd love for Estinien to have bridal carried the warrior of light out of Ghimlyt Dark, it was probably actually one of these
The tomboy/pink hater to non-binary/pink lover pipeline
literally nothing matters. except winged characters sheltering other characters under their wings. that's extremely important actually.

I cannot tell you guys how much Iâve laughed at this yesterday, the comments on the willow mv are PRICELESS! đđ
For those of you wondering what the Swift rule is, every time Taylor releases an album, Corinthians (one of the big soccer teams in Brazil) doesnât lose the previous and upcoming game. Like, never. And this weekend they were going to play the currently best team in Brazil, and regional rival. The other team was on a winning streak, but the swift rule is unbeatable.
But it doesnât stop there!! People really believe taylor is some kind of patron saint of Corinthians, not only the Swift rule is definitely a thing, but Corinthians had never won a national championship while Taylor wasnât born, first time was in 1990. And there is more, back in the day we still had playoffs for the main championship, and guess when was the final that crowned Corinthians champion? December 13th.
SOME GEMS ON THE WILLOW MV COMMENTS:
âsaint george in heaven (patreon saint of Corinthians) and taylor swift on earth. go miss corinthianaâ
âit was never luck it was always taylor swift. go corinthians!â
âI was always prejudiced to hear taylor songs but since she blessed Corinthias i have started to listen and they are good. thank you taylor. go corinthiasâ
"Taylor Swift is the patron saint of a Brazilian soccer team" is not something I expected to learn today
This post goes out to Donal Noye, the only reliable source of information in a land full of rumours and lies xoxo
@gayasha you are the smartest person in this fandom
Also, that scene with Donal Noye isnât truly about the Baratheon brothers, itâs about Robb.
Noye drew him closer. âYouâve heard these tidings of your brother?â
âLast night.â Conwy and his charges had brought the news north with them, and the talk in the common room had been of little else. Jon was still not certain how he felt about it. Robb a king? The brother heâd played with, fought with, shared his first cup of wine with? But not motherâs milk, no. So now Robb will sip summerwine from jeweled goblets, while Iâm kneeling beside some stream sucking snowmelt from cupped hands. âRobb will make a good king,â he said loyally.
âWill he now?â The smith eyed him frankly. âI hope thatâs so, boy, but once I might have said the same of Robert.â
âThey say you forged his warhammer,â Jon remembered.
"Aye. I was his man, a Baratheon man, smith and armorer at Stormâs End until I lost the arm. Iâm old enough to remember Lord Steffon before the sea took him, and I knew those three sons of his since they got their names. I tell you thisâRobert was never the same after he put on that crown. Some men are like swords, made for fighting. Hang them up and they go to rust.â
âAnd his brothers?â Jon asked.
The armorer considered that a moment. "Robert was the true steel. Stannis is pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. Heâll break before he bends. And Renly, that one, heâs copper, bright and shiny, pretty to look at but not worth all that much at the end of the day.â
And what metal is Robb? Jon did not ask. Noye was a Baratheon man; likely he thought Joffrey the lawful king and Robb a traitor.
The takeaway from this scene is not what Noye thinks of the Baratheon bros, itâs what Jon wants to know about Robb. Jon is unsure whether Robb is actually going to be a good king, and you can feel his uneasiness and fear when he thinks âand what metal is Robb?â
Also, in the extended edition ebook, thereâs this note next to that excerpt:
By word of GRRM himself, this is not a true description of Renly.
