Tribeca, full kitchen renovation, 2016. Following the client's inspirations, design, and specs for a glossy, clean, modern, and air open look and feel: We opened the sink wall to create a past through window with ledge topped with White Ceasarstone to match the countertops and removed right side wall and door opening as well. Glossy IKEA cabinets, positioned and filled to accommodate structural angles of the existing space. Back painted glass backsplash in Seafoam; square and deep stainless steel sink; under cabinet lights, porcelain floor, stainless steel fixtures: ceiling fixture.

Quite often, "green", sustainable materials are expensive, and out of reach for even mid sized budgets. So check out IKEA's new, massively affordable cabinet doors, made from entirely recycled materials! The Kungsbacka style even appears to be their lowest priced line!

In addition to residential renovations, we also provide commercial space build-out for all types of retail and office spaces.  This decorative wall of re-purposed doors was designed and installed as part of entire build-out for Misahara Jewelry’s new space at The Plaza Hotel in 2014.  Scope included custom glass/metal/wood wall and floor display cases, lighting, custom glass entry doors, and finishes.  This type of re-purposed finish also satisfies NYC building code requirements for a percent of re-cycled materials to be used in new construction.

Never enough closet space, especially in NYC!  There are endless creative solutions for consolidating and expanding existing spaces, as well as creating visually appealing modern or traditional or even nearly hidden storage spaces. Adjacent recessed closets can be combined. Custom, wall to wall built-ins, with flush full height doors can be constructed to maximize the utilization of existing space. And the depth of existing closet space can be built-out to create walk-in areas.

A Leading Role for The Backsplash

NY Rainbow, Inc.:  Kitchens have always been THE hang-out space in many people’s homes.  With the growing trend towards open-style kitchens, the backsplash plays an even larger role in setting the tone, creating atmosphere, and expressing personal style.  The big plus: whether for an open or closed kitchen, a backsplash can be changed without the hassle of a full kitchen renovation, yet most often has the impact of a complete renovation.  Add new lighting, faucets, and pulls... it’s a brand new world.

Shiny and New for Springtime!

NY Rainbow, Inc.: Small and periodic updates to fixtures in the kitchen and bath are relatively inexpensive yet pack a lot of aesthetic appeal.  And since replacements on existing locations and plumbing are generally considered cosmetic and do not require a plumber, installation costs are minimal.
