spider-man! follo who's story with you starts after he saved you from a group of thieves who were about to steal from you one night while you were on your way home from uni. you thanked him profusely because you just so happened to have all of your documents in your bag that night. he said it was no big deal "i-i was patrolling this area anyway." in a very... odd voice? you offered to buy him lozenges because maybe he'd gone down with a cold. but he politely declines your offer of hospitality, and instead offers to walk you home to your dorm apartment that night.
spider-man! follo who learns the same night how awfully persistent you can actually be, because you're suddenly telling him you remembered that you overcooked some noodles ... then you admit that you felt guilty because he got hit by one of the guys who almost stole from you and couldn't just let him go. he insists that he's fine in that weird voice, but you give him a certain look that's not cute but... stern? so he ends up climbing to the small balcony of your dorm apartment.
university classmate?! follo who walked in twenty minutes late to his psychology class the next day, thank god professor corvus wasn't so harsh and didn't even give him a tardy slip and simply pretended to not notice him slip insde. he was so out of it that he didn't even notice that he'd sat beside you and slept through the entire lesson until you gently tapped his shoulder to wake him up and smiled at him when he stammered apologies once he put two and two together. you merely laugh and you offer him to borrow your notes, he thanks you shyly as he scratches the bruise below his cheek.
spider-man! follo who after that night of you offering an ice pack to the bruise on his cheek and feeding him dinner with his mask half up and him endlessly complimenting you with every bite and you telling him "and you said you weren't hungry." and that he could come back whenever, started to come every fortnight or so; sometimes bringing snacks from some chinese food stall you raved about some time ago, along with a story or two about the day he just had in that fake dry voice of his.
"-and that dude went like- kablam! on the ground, and i thought he actually went out on me for a sec honestly, which shouldn't happen because..."
his words fall short on his lips when he watches you snag a mini pork bun from his side that he'd already bitten from and you're about to apologize but he shakes his head with a huff of a short laugh. "i-it's fine, you should eat more."
university classmate! follo who returns your notes to you the morning after you two meet again on your balcony, two days after your almost-mugging and a day after you lent it to him. he thanks you as he scratches the back of his head, a shy smile on his lips, you give him a kind smile and joke, "you shouldn't fall asleep next time." that unknown to you, for his case, feels too much for his poor soul to take. he only sees you during the night, how the hell were you extra good looking in the daylight?
spider-man! follo who learns later after much more late night meetings with you that you're actually a second year med student. when you ask if he's also in college, he lies to you and says that he's too old for college, you tell him he does sound like he's old. he stammers and says he really... isn't.
university classmate! follo who you bump into one day during lunch with your fashion design major friend august and his younger sister eishia (who's a freshman in the same course as you, he sits with you when august calls him over. apparently they're both fairly acquainted with one another.
"follo here's one amazinggg dude," the grin on august's face is palpable even with his self made sunglasses. "he's really got this knack for saving everyone every- OW, EISHIA ?!"
august shouts in pain after the younger stilza had kicked him under the table, she stutters and scolds him for some reason you can't place, all while follo beside you huffs an awkward laugh and takes a sneaky glance at your id lace.
"... you're a... nursing major?" you nod at his query.
"mhm, and i take that you're in social work huh?" he watches you take a glance at his id too and he nods as well. "why are you in my psychology class then?"
he huffs a laugh that sounds a bit more familiarly shy than you think, "i uh, ran out out of slots during the enrollment period."
spider-man! follo who "finally" hears about "this guy you finally got to know earlier this week" later on when he stops by your balcony a few days after you fully get to know him as a college student during lunch. he doesn't know how he feels with this set-up because he feels like he's fooling not only you but somehow himself, but he still smiles under his mask after you'd fed him again when you show him the picture you took of him sleeping again next to you in class.
"he's not the snoring type though, luckily he isn't," you huff a laugh then as you place your phone into your lap and give him the same grin he'd seen from you from the past week of getting to know you. he thinks the additional minutes spent out here are somehow worth it. "but he is actually missing out on important points from the professor, who by the way looks like he doesn't even care that he's sleeping through his lecture."
"oh i'm sure he cares," the vigilante says absentmindedly, before catching himself when you furrow your brows at him. "... i mean probably? because back during my university days my professors were uh... strict."
you snort at that and shake your head with a smile, "wow, so you're that old."
he merely smiles under his mask and says something in return but deep down though, he's began to debate on whether to reveal himself to you soon or just stay this way.
university classmate! follo whom after fully and officially "befriending" you, exchanges numbers with you and plans to study with you sometime in the library for your upcoming psych exam by the end of the month... except you're thinking now that it'll never come to be because all of a sudden he stops coming to class the following week. you tried texting him but he hasn't read any of them. to make matters worse, even eishia and august had suddenly started avoiding you when they bump into you at campus (or more likely, it's eishia who's suddenly steering left along with her brother at the sight of you) so now you're eating lunch alone.
spider-man! follo who you learn from the news gets bested by a newbie supervillain as reported on the news tonight. his colleagues arrived too late at the scene and he was already defeated on arrival... so then the reign of terror of this newbie villain begins to doom the north city where you reside, leading to a nationwide lockdown.
spider-man! follo whom as you expected, stops coming by for an entire week while the city's on lockdown. you're forced to reheat the leftovers from the meal you've cooked the night before while attending modular classes, because ever since that one night where you invited him to eat with you, you've started spending your monthly allowance sent by your parents on every doubled meal prep for spiderman and for you to share. now you're eating chili noodles on your balcony, praying to the stars that the reign of terror caused by that villain would end and that he'd swing by.
spider-man! follo who wakes you up in the middle of the night a few days in the north's lockdown when you hear something crash in your small balcony, thinking it's just the wind, you thought of ignoring it at first... but then you hear a few rustling sounds and so when you pull the curtains and open the window, there you find the masked vigilante who hasn't visited you for days now standing before you, with thankfully no major injuries apart from a gauze on his forearm. but before you can even ask him anything or say whatever at least, he's already slumping against you and you catch him decisively before anything else.
"s-spiderman?" you have no time to even process your state of shock as the vigilante wraps his arm around you while you stumble back in your cramped apartment and fall unto the floor because of his weight but you're all over him with how much a worrywart you can be. "wha- what are you doing here? are you okay? are you hurt?"
"i won't take long, i just need to rest." the masked vigilante huffs against your skin. you swallow. and you stay in this... precarious position for a moment and don't push him away until the gravity of what follo's' doing pulls him out of his stupor and he's unwrapping himself his arms around you and pushing himself away. "sorry, i-"
"– i haven't seen you in awhile," you cut him off and it surprises him, your heartbeat was erratic but there's this certain relief that settles inside you at the sight of him, you laugh despite yourself. "thank god you're actually safe even with what's out there... are you hungry?"
spider-man! follo who while sitting on the floorboards in front of you like this and eating the meal you've cooked, thinks that: oh, maybe he only came here because this familiarity with you has been something he'd craved for years now ever since he got this role as a vigilante. to rest like this with you for awhile and forget the dangers lurking out there feels more of a luxury than he thinks, and he's afraid of ruining it all by hurting you when you find out that he's been lying to you about who he really is. and he's really terrified now, because you're the only good thing he has left in this world, and he should really tell you who he is soon.
spider-man! follo who's aware more so than his other sense now that he's kind of in trouble with this predicament because... you're already starting to feel like coming home to.

but sometimes, when you're at his place, he keeps his computer on - pretends to game, only to come back to bed and snuggle with you. it only happens after you're asleep, though.
the computer is still on, but it's forgotten because right now, he just wants to keep looking at you until he falls asleep. admiring all the little details, committing everything into his memory...by the time he's snoring, he's dreaming about you. the next day, he wakes up feeling just right.
tomura sleeps better when it's dark, but he sleeps best when you're with him.
