Hard call for me not to be anxious but this is the truth of the matter. In every situation, whatever trial, challenge or dark place I encounter... God is faithful and will hear my prayers and bring things together for my good. What an incredible gift in this life of uncertainty!
My helper is Mighty to save
Romans 5:3-4
An encouraging scripture for today and this season... (10 weeks before second baby due!)
“You always have an opportunity to return home, you are never too far from grace; That’s the beautiful thing about God’s grace, it chases after you, and never gives up. So lay down your pride that is masked by your fear, and return to the one person who loves you beyond your shortcomings. Return to the table, beloved, your place is awaiting you and the Father has so much to catch up with you about.”
— T.B. LaBerge // Go Now
Return to the table - your beloved is waiting for you to make time and space to listen.
A good one to hold in my heart today.
Causeless depression cannot be reasoned with, nor can David’s harp charm it away by sweet discoursings. As well fight with the mist as with this shapeless, undefinable hopelessness … The iron bolt which so mysteriously fastens the door of hope and holds our spirits in gloomy prison, needs a heavenly hand to push it back.
Charles Spurgeon
True in most cases. At least for lasting relief. Though strength of mind and character help, sometimes they are not enough to hold us from the abyss.
Heya! So I (very very nervously) made this video last week, and while I know it’ll be controversial I’ll probably get a bit of lashback from it, it was really cathartic to make it (especially after a month of hearing these things even more often than usual!). It feels good to be able to poke fun of some of the more ridiculous things people say to people with disabilities. So without further ado, here is Sh*t Abled People Say! Hope you guys get a chuckle out of it, and thanks so much to this blog and the community around it for always being so supportive and positive. You guys are awesome. :)

The little smiley at the end of all of these really made it for me. That and the 100% being done with this shit light in her eyes haha.
Ahahaha, thank you! I’m so glad that came through bc 100% done was the exact mood I was trying to convey, that and the smug superiority with which these things are usually said. :p
You had me giggling, especially the not-so-subtle little laughs at the end of the “helpful” suggestions... the rainy knee one was classic, as was the 14 year old surgeon. I know it’s been said, but I’ll say it again - go you, fabulous to see you being yourself 100%. You’re hilarious, and a force to be reckoned with. Love NZSB x

I heart this quote... Sigh...
Spoken in true Wordsworth style.

A friend who stays. Who goes mile after mile. One who chooses to stick with me and my stuff. An inspiration and a source of solace and song. Thank you for the gift of your friendship. Without you life would have less song, there wouldn't be so much giggling or hilarity, nor so much peace. Having you with me on our wedding day was one of the best decisions I made in my whole life. Keep on keepin on my dear friend. And may the road rise to meet you, the wind be always at your back, the sun shine warm on your face. And until we meet again... May the creator, sustainer and giver of all good things be with you and keep you. With love from one of your admiring alumni xxx

Self. Harm. Is. Not. Art.
Suicide. Is. Not. Beautiful.
Depression. Is. Not. Pretty.
Anxiety. Is. Not. Cute.
Fucking stop.
but also you can self harm and still be a piece of art
you can be suicidal and still be beautiful
you can be depressed and still be pretty
you can have anxiety and be cute
you can have a mental illness and still be beautiful but mental illness itself is not beautiful in any form
quite happy this second part was added
Agreed @justalittlebitlosthere @lueksbutt - well done on your input… As a sufferer and also a warrior against this stuff... These days hope and love are possible for me. Hang in there if you’re reading this and down some rabbit hole in your own mind. Things can change… Things can get better. The pain that is visceral and real and hideously frightening can go away. Taking your life is not an answer to the hope question which is found in every human heart if you dig deep enough beneath the Chinese walls and bricks and mortar and sometimes barbed wire around our own pain. Please hang in there. There is sunshine outside. There is still goodness in the world. Find a tree that you like the look of… Find a person you think is inspiring, find a song which expresses your pain and let the pain out by doing air guitar in your room - I don’t mind what you do! Whatever floats your boat/takes your fancy (as long as it’s not harming yourself or others)… With love, A friend who has some vague idea about some of this mental weirdness. (I think sometimes my brain just thinks it’s a dragon and decides to roar at me for a while) NZSongbirdy ❤️💙💜💚🌈
Hey guys! Today, I just wanted to share with you how I go about with my bullet journal. I have collected a lot of ideas from Tumblr, Pinterest and Youtube, and this is the format that suits my taste. I hope you guys find this useful or interesting! :)
1. Index
Of course, most, if not all, bullet journals start with an index page so you can make reference to it in the future. This makes things easier to find and more organized.
2. Habit Tracker
I track various habits like eating fruits and vegetables, getting 8 hours of sleep, drinking 8 glasses of water, finishing a book, etc. I put numbers in the grids and each number corresponds to a date. If I did that certain task on that day, I will shade in the box.
3. Calendar
This is a calendar for the whole month. Here, I use post-it notes so that it can be easily transferred if the date ever changed. I also use different color of sticky tabs for school, blog and personal life, but the one above is only for blog posts since I don’t have other things to put yet.
4. Books and Blog Posts
The one above is separated into three columns - “Books I Want to Read,” “In Progress,” and “Finished” - and I used sticky tabs to put the books that I want to read in the month of January on the first column. When I’m already reading the book, I will transfer the sticky tab to the “In Progress” column, and then to the “Finished” column when I finished reading the book.
On the bottom part of the page are the blog posts that I plan to post in January, and it’s also separated into three columns - “To Do,” “In Progress,” and “Finished.” I also move them to the appropriate columns when the task changes status.
5. Expense Tracker
This is where I track my expenses for the month. In the first column, I put the item that I bought. In the second column, I put the date, and in the third column, I put the amount.
6. Weekly Spread
This is where I put my everyday tasks. So first I put the date, and then the bar below that tracks the number of glasses of water that I drank that day (left) and the number of hours of sleep that I had the night before (right). Then after that, I proceed to my to-do list, and I shade the box different colors once the task is done for school, blog and personal. Below that, most of the time I put 1-2 sentences about the highlights of my day.
7. Weekly Mementos
To the left of the weekly spread are the mementos that I collected throughout the week. These are mostly receipts, tickets, stubs, and any other thing that I think might be worth putting in.
This is fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing your journal formatting - such a lovely pictorial way to be organised 💜
So stoked to be able to take my band and crew on a vacation at the end of a long and wonderful tour. For all their hard work this year, they really deserve it. Thank you to Hamilton Island for taking such great care of 125 of the people who work tirelessly to make sure the 1989 World Tour stage gets built, the lights are on, the costumes are made, the guitars are tuned, and the show goes on.
Aussie press, I love your enthusiasm but my birthday isn’t for 2 weeks and it’ll be a quiet one this year. Let’s take it down a notch:)
Love the way you put a little sting in the tail to tone down the media circus! You go
