Self Destruction

I have this burning desire to be self destructive

To look in the mirror

Smash it

Choke on the shattered pieces

I don’t want to leave proof

That I am as messy as I’ve ever been

He Walked Away

A boy died here, yesterday night

He got up from his body and decided to walk away

He stopped at his house and saw his mother pick up the phone

Put it down

Cry

Scream

He winced and decided to walk away

He went to his school and watched his friends look at their phones

Call him

Text

Call again

He heard their anxious whispers and decided to walk away

He had been out on the street at night

He had seen that car coming

Stay

Run

Stay

He smiled to himself and decided not to walk away
