There’s something I’ve been thinking about lately. Back when I was on a private twitter account I didn’t hesitate as much to post rougher or simpler sketches than I do now. But ever since moving to tumblr there’s this extra hurdle where people have to go to a separate blog and enter a password just to view my art and because of that I worry that if they go through all that effort only to open something that’s just a sketch they might end up disappointed. So I’ve been having a hard time posting things like that. Maybe I’m just overthinking it… but if there are even a few people who’d still want to see that kind of stuff I’d really like to know.

I use a tablet for everything drawing and browsing tumblr but it’s been crashing a lot lately so I finally replaced it yesterday. I ended up spending all day today setting up my painting software. Honestly it’s more mentally exhausting than actually drawing.

Yes I get what you mean! I think 30 years of life experience really shows in ITNR Josh’s appearance and the way he moves... but his bone structure and the way his facial muscles move haven’t changed which is what makes it so interesting. It’s like different dishes being served on the same plate. I seriously never get tired of them!

Have you considered the possibility of having a young top Josh and an older bottom Josh?

Yes I’ve thought about it! In the selfcest drawings I’m working on now ITNR Josh is the top but honestly Kyuss Josh as the top would feel just as hot to me. I can enjoy selfcest switching but there’s one exception — Screaming Trees Josh. In my head he’s a total bottom and I want him to be topped by pretty much any other version of Josh. If there’s any pairing you want to see me draw feel free to tell me ❤️

favourite part of drawing josh?

Thank you for the ask anon! When I draw fanart of someone the most fun part is always drawing the face and expressions. For Josh specifically his signature features are those ginger eyelashes and his slightly small mouth (relative to the size of his face) that’s often half open. Also his hairstyle changes depending on the era which makes it tricky to differentiate them but it’s so much fun to draw! The moment I add the beard to ITNR Josh I always feel such satisfaction. His broad shoulders and thick arms are amazing too… Once I start thinking about it there’s no end!
