Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliett
Summer Reading may be over, but that doesn't mean it's time to stop reading! Start off your school year with Chasing Vermeer! Join us for an open discussion about the book with snacks on Thursday, August 31st. We have copies of the book available at the circulation desk.
Summer Bingo
Join us for the last session of Summer Bingo before school starts. Bingo starts at 3pm in the Friends Meeting Room. It is available for all ages and everyone walks away with a prize!

Summer Reading Raffle Winners
Summer Reading has come to an end with over 250 participants!
Pictured here are the participation gears each child received for completing a level of 3 hours (or more!) during the summer. Each child had an opportunity to fill out up to five gears, or 15-20 hours of reading. Good job, everyone! Once a child completed all 5 levels of the Summer Reading challenge they were entered into a raffle to win prizes. Congratulations to all of our raffle winners!
Summer Reading Ends Tomorrow!
Saturday, August 5th is the last day to turn in your logs for Summer Reading!
Remember, you can pick up the prizes you earned and mark your place on our gear wall. Any completed logs will be considered for our Grand Prizes!
Last Week of Summer Reading
Summer Reading ends this Saturday, August 5th! There is still a little time to finish up your reading log and turn it in before Summer Reading ends. When you turn in your log you will have a chance to collect any prizes that you have earned and add your gears to our wall.

Dupage Children's Museum
The Dupage Childrens Museum is bringing the Museum to the library!! This interactive program will allow children to play, learn, discover, and so much more.

Lego League July Everyone who participated in the July Lego League had a great time! Some choice builds this month were Adam's fire truck environment as well as Lalida's house! STEM: Build It
Friday, July 14 10:30-11:30 Ages 4 & Up This program is focused on design and creativity. It allows children to build their fine motor skills while being engineers themselves. We will have Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, and K'nex available. We hope to see you there! Please register.
Summer Reading
There is still about 1 month left of Summer Reading! If you haven't signed up already, stop by the Youth Services desk to sign up and pick up your log sheet. Participants are free to choose their own books and are accountable for the time they spend reading. They will earn prizes along the way!
As part of the Youth Services new “Make It Your Own” program, A.J. Smith is our inaugural participant! He wanted to share his love of the Geronimo Stilton series with fellow patrons of OBPL! Come & check out his display & to see how YOU can Make It Your Own at the Youth Services desk!
