Mason didnât do it so aggressively or at least he tried his best not to. She had been good company and didnât make him want to kill someone which was always a plus in his book. She seemed nice which probably shouldâve made him restrain himself from doing anything to her but. Pulling his head back rather quickly, only getting the taste for it rather than the fill, the dark veins slowly disappeared and his eyes returned to their normal blue hue state. Wiping away at his mouth he noticed the wet residue on her cheek and for the first time in a long, long time he felt a slight pinch of guilt. âHeyâŠall done okay?â He tried saying as if that would be comforting in that moment bringing his hand up, using his thumb to wipe away at her cheek. âYouâre fine.â
She took a breath of relief when he stopped. Maybe it would be okay or she kept holding onto that. When he looked at her and she looked back to him, she could notice something. Was it guilt? But, he was being kind. He was not attacking her. He was trying to calm her down. Â She simply nodded at him though her eyes could not help but well up with tears. Maybe it was the fear she still felt, but she didnât want to feel that way.Â
