Very little is needed to make a happy life: it is all within yourself in your way of thinking.
Marcus Aurelius (via fyp-philosophy)
Gabriel’s horn!
What’s interesting about it? Finite volume, infinite surface area ; it’s paradoxical.
How come? Because math.
Basically, you take the graph of y = 1/x and you evaluate the volume and the area when
You will find that the volume is equal to
pi
(which is faaaar from infinity) and that the surface area is infinite!
The real paradoxical thing is when you ask the question: What if you fill it with paint? Theoretically you could fill it with a finite amount of paint but what happens to the paint? do you cover an infinite wall with a finite amount of paint?
Kinda want to make a horn now :-p.

Watches are a can-o-worms, especially very expensive ones... but this video to me at least shows CRAFTSMENSHIP, that something that can't be bought online for £50. It takes years, generations of skilled work and contemplation. Priceless.
If our 'leaders' took this amount of care, and were this dedicated to doing a good job for those they pertain to work for, the world would be a very different place.
Let's make 2017 and beyond the time were people remember what it is to take pride in a task, great or mundane, for yourself or others. To take the time to do something well, to learn and be joyful of that lesson in every triumph, mistake and subsequent rework. We are ALL artists of life, we must hone our craft for the good of all.
The first track I started working on as I learned the software, tinkered with continuously, now considered ‘finished’ for now at least!
Finally, some activity!
Consider this the revitalisation of this blog, I’ll endeavour to post relatively often with things of relative interest :-).
For now, enjoy if you will, a live improvisation on location at Pendennis Point, Falmouth.
Wow
Love this! 130 play?! Let’s rack em up and give good tings the recognition they deserve! #hiddengems
I found this to be a very enjoyable album :-).
Having started university (Fine Art), I find myself with access to a workshop again... some time and one DIY electric cello later we have 'Foxrose', the first proper play post setting the instrument up the day I 'finished' it.
Just love. The rest is bullshit.
