I'm mad at my sims game :(

Okay so I want to complain for a minute. I was working on this really cool spacy earth-ship themed lot and I must have clicked on a bad CC item or something and my game crashed. I'm so sad about it! I was only like maybe 15-20 minutes into building it so I wasn't COMPLETLY devastated but it was still going in such a good direction. I was so excited about it and then boom, it crashed. Ugh! That's the worst lol. I don't want to try and re-create it because I feel so bad about it. Maybe in the future. :( My game has been a little buggy lately. It's probably because I have waaaaay too much CC installed lol. It's my fault... ugh....

I didn't even get any screenshots because I had just started building it.

Here's another Screenshot Update for Sulani Islands! :)

Hey friends! Here's some more screenshots of my CAW project! If you haven't heard or are new to my posts I am making a sims 3 world that's inspired by Sulani from the sims 4! Here's some pictures! :)

I added some more foliage and a few more lots here and there on the "downtown island."

This world is not going to be an exact copy of Sulani from the sims 4, because it would be hard to translate that to the sims 3. I'm just doing my best while taking inspiration from sims 3 elements and worlds too. I think my world seems to take inspiration from Isla Paradiso too. I use a lot of trees and foliage from Isla Paradiso so that's probably why. I also use a lot of ground paints and colors from other places too like sunlit tides and nilxis (thanks for the blue water and coral colors!). I think if it's ground paint that it should show up okay. It's part of the world file and it's not a CC or item so it should be alright right? I wouldn't consider myself a CAW expert, and this is only my second world I've built from scratch. I hope it's okay lol! I'm sure it will look great!

I'm still working on building up the community/commercial lots too! I made a movie theater lot and a business/journalism rabbit hole lot!

I hope all the colors go together okay. I want everything to have a kind of beachy island vibe to it, but it's hard because I also don't want to add CC in this world. That also means I don't want to use store content or things that might show up weird in the game if you don't already have the file in your game/computer. I just want it to be base game/non CC friendly! :)

I might change some things up, I don't know yet. This world is still a WIP and will not be released for a long while. So please be patient! I'm excited about releasing it too! :) I can't wait to share it with everyone! Whenever that may be.

Looks great so far! :) I haven't added any spawners above ground (not fish but like bugs, gems, metals, small animals, etc.) and I have to do the routing too. Doing routing is kind of a pain lol.

And yes! I have one dive lot finished and 2 more to go! I have another one placed, and I'm still trying to figure out where to put the third one.

WIP Koh Thai

Guys I finally figured out how to merge Nilxis' Uranesia custom lighting mod with the Koh Thai files so that it will be included with the download but won't impact other worlds! It wasn't difficult but I've never done it before so I'm proud of myself lol

It looks WAY more tropical and realistic so I'm very pleased and excited. I'm going to add some reefs and water terrain painting in CAW now too so it will be looking even more accurate to the Thai Islands soon (I know I'm kinda doing this backwards but its my first world and I got excited to build lots ah)

Hey friends! I'm working on my CAW project tonight! I thought you might like to see some more progress I've made! :)

I finished the library! I might change up the roof and exterior colors a little bit. I like the overall shape of the building though! :)

I am still working on the island that's near the "downtown" island area. It needs more shaping and ground paint coloring. It looks good so far though!

Everything looks so good! I'm so happy with how this project is coming along! :) I have to keep adding lots which is a little more tedious than terraforming and adding lots/trees and whatnot. I still have a lot of work to-do :/

I'm so excited to share it with everyone! Hopefully I'll be able to finish it sometime in the next year (or 2? Maybe?). I've made a lot of progress so far already! It's crazy that I just started this project back in September of 2025.

My name is Luli. I'm looking to work with someone who knows their way around the CAW tool. I'm looking through creators here and I'm not sure if I'm correct in understanding that you're a a world creator, but if you are, would you be interested?

You would develop the terrain, roads, and potentially some large scale/base world decor; and this would be a canvas for all building and finer environmental decor that I would llike to include on my own.

Anyway! To answer your question, I can't take on anymore projects right now >.< I have been feeling very overwhelmed by life and I have so much going on. Between work, and chores, and everything else going on in my life I just don't have the time. I'm so sorry! I would love to hear more about your ideas! And if you need any help or guidance on how to use the CAW program I am happy to help! I'm no expert by any means but I would love to help you out! You should also check out the CAW discord group! There's also a Facebook group dedicated to CAW if you have a FB account! I can point you in the direction of help if you need it!

I would love to hear about your ideas for a CAW project! CAW projects are so much fun but they do take a LONG time to finish. Which is another reason why I can't really help you. It could take potentially years of work. I finished my Ex-Terrestria project in a few years and most of the lots are blank.

I've been extremely busy with working and preparing for my upcoming art show. I'm not on tumblr that much anymore and I definitely don't get to play the sims 3 as much as I want to. Ugh being an adult kinda sucks sometimes lol.

I have too many ideas and can't sleep...

I have another CAW project idea! If you don't mind me rambling for a bit I would love to tell you about it!

The weather has been nice and warm lately (minus a few rain showers). I'm so glad it's starting to really feel like summer! My partner and I went to go "creeking" at a park nearby where I live a few weeks ago. It was totally amazing! I loved it so much even though I was hesitant to take off my socks. 10 out of 10 experience!

While we were there I was just thinking it would be nice if there was a camping/nature themed world in the sims 3. Like a campground with forests and parks all around the map. Sims could take vacations there (like world adventures) with the NRASS traveler mod. Maybe there could be a river or a creek like area where sims could go creeking too? That would be so nice! I would love that so much. I saw that @twinsimming recently released a hiking mod! It looks super cool! I just downloaded it and I can't wait to try it out! It's so nice that there's such talented people in the modding community for the sims 3. I don't know anything about modding but I'm glad that people do it! I'm so grateful for everyone who makes mods for the game! The sims 3 is so much better with mods (in my opinion!). Like I love that my idea of a camping themed vacation world might be possible with mods. I don't know if it will ever actually become a real project or not but maybe someday! I still have so much work to do on my Sulani Islands project. CAW projects take a lot of time (literally years) but it's so worth it! And I don't want to start too many projects all at once. Even though I really have that bug in my mind that's saying "do it!"

I want my sim to be a certified "freak for the creek" like I am lol.

Hey! A lot of people asked about if I was going to add a dive lot to my Sulani Islands CAW project! So here it is! I added a lot of spawners for fish and collectables too! I hope it looks good! Thanks! :)

Also, can I just say that it took me FOREVER to figure out that in order to go under the water you have to do the lower floor/downstairs button? I could not figure that out for the life of me lol. I thought you just had to zoom in to go under water. I figured it out!

Sulani Islands update part 3? I can't remember how many posts I have posted about this, but I am SO FREAKING excited so ya get another one! :)

I am working on an area that will be the "downtown" area. I'm hoping to put the sports center, city hall, pool/gym, bistro, most of those buildings etc. I still have other important buildings placed around other parts of the map (like the school, library, graveyard, etc). And I will absolutely have to make a dive lot or 2! I've never built a dive lot so I don't know how exactly I'm gonna do that but I'll figure it out! :)

This project has been SO MUCH fun! I am really happy with how it is turning out! It's looking so good already!

I've updated the Scenery navigation page

I originally wanted to use a different theme for the navigation page, BUT now using a custom html theme requires emailing tumblr for approval. I sent that email nearly a year ago and still haven't heard back😓so i'm done waiting and made it with excel instead. Not the fancy layout I imagined, but at least it's nice and clean.

I'll keep updating this spreadsheet whenever I can. You can save it as an xlsx. or other formats, though the layout might get messy. I'm offering a formatted PDF version here.

Note: The world sizes may not be 100% accurate. Some creators didn't provide this info, so I had to guess based on the screenshots (though I'd never call a small map "large") If you find any mistakes or dead links, please let me know!
