hello everywan! a while back i reached 1k followers and decided that i wanted to do a little something w u guys :) SO im holding a mini art contest which i hope you’ll be able to join :) the main prompt is…make art of a ship you like!!

absolutely NO ai, this gets you disqualified and blocked immediately

no incest, no pseudoincest, no illegal age gaps, toxic ships are fine, anything illegal is NOT
you only have until august 3 to submit art, no late submissions are allowed!
you can do as much or as little as you like! this is meant to be fun, so no pressure :) i understand that everyone has things going on outside of tumblr so only do as much as you want to!

The effect that ffxiv has on me artistically is wild.
The Eorzea Collection? One of my favorite places to find posing references.
Promotional Artworks? It has been and always will be one of my biggest inspiration and not to mention, I learned that the specific artist I've been drawing inspo from was Kazuya T.
Glamour, and outfits? Super fun inspo to draw from for outfit designs especially fantasy designs.
I WILL get my hands on one of their artbooks, okay. ONE DAY.
I don't get involved with the ALNST fandom but ALNST has such interesting lore and details behind it that my bestie and I had spent and hr just rambling over ZOMBST's first ep.
Below the cut is just a fun fact we discovered.
Now I'm not deepdiving into all we talked abt. You could go to the video and find many excellent lore deepdivers that cover the whole of the video.
One of the most interesting fact me and my bestie found out that wasn't mentioned was finding that the infection was a gemstone growing inside the body (Vivinos's public patreon comic).
If you reference the section of the EP where they show the body parts sold, the arm had some stone fragments at the joint. We mistook it as flesh but after reviewing the other scenes, it was less of rot and likely resembeled crystallization. Makes sense on why it seemed smooth or shiny.
We both saw that it resembeled persevation of idols in the industry, such as merchandising like photo cards or albums.
LOVE Vivinos's work for this reason. I adore how they bring attention to the harshness of idol industry in this way. And ZOMBST is so much more direct than ALNST's symbolism.
Though, my friend and I both predict that the messaging will STILL fly over people's head in favor of just seeing their favorite characters.
I'm so twst-sona pilled... I have a PERFECT way to work Oavailius's original lore into the twst world and also bc I CANT WAIT TO DESIGN HER OVERBLOT FORM!!
I really got to crunch down on these commission samples but I want time to settle down and catch up on the twst story 😭 Also just been confusingly trying to get some cards built up because book 6 HURT MY EGO IN CARD BASED GAMES
Man it's rough trying to figure out who to give a Vgen code to in the VGen discord since essentially we're all hoping to make some money out of art, it's just a different situation for everyone.
I'm also double-checking thru everyone since I want to make sure the codes are utilized (╥﹏╥) My 1st 3 codes were redeemed but they hadn't set up portfolios or any services.
Tho i know VGen isn't some holy grail platform. I just had codes lying around with no moots to load em off to lol
Playing tomodachii. Now for a lot of context: I dont have any particular twst ships, so I'm just letting all of the twst miis I've made roll in the RNG and crush on whoever.
why did Floyd have to immediately crush on Riddle when I was just tryna introduce them 😭😭
So the update... i still have to add in Diasomnia and Idia+Ortho are bald bc I didn't feel like drawing fire hair yet.
Vil immediately crushed on Jamil when I tried to introduce them. Jade also crushed on Azul but got rejected so now he's depressed but somehow stilk has his crush on Azul.
Azul wanted to crush on Rook but I lowkey shot that down. 😭
