Heya everyone, welcome to this little corner of the internet my game calls home! I'm Saavan, the creator of what's more well-known as "the obey me rewrite", and I'm happy to bring it to Tumblr.

Obey Me: A New Beginning is an interactive fiction game, one that has my own spin on the characters and lore of the Obey Me universe. I found quite a lot of issues within the original game, so I took it upon myself to remake it with all my headcanons and expectations. Hope you enjoy!

You can visit the game HERE - click play to view all the features it currently has! There are many, I promise you, whether it's diverse character customization or fun Hellzfeed quizzes alongside the main story.

Here, I'll share game updates, sneak peeks, cute headcanons, and more! Feel free to hang around, say hi, and ask any lingering questions you may have in the ask box :) And if you'd like tutorials on how to accomplish certain things in the Twine engine (which is what I've used for this game), feel free to drop those in the ask box as well! I'll do my best to answer everything.

Got curious while reading (amazing work btw), does the MC retain the memories of their life before they died?

Sort of... 🫢It's a little complicated but will be covered more when more chapters release. So far the closest mention is when you say no to Asmo's shopping offer and decide to go to the music room after Beel's tour ✌️

"What's this?" you ask, gingerly taking it. It looks like a small turquoise feather made of smooth, lightweight glass.

"Sometimes, I fear my lord is not cautious enough," Barbatos says, mouth set in a line. "This is a demonic token with a fraction of magic that allows summoning one time. If you are ever in immediate danger, shattering it will call me."

Your eyes widen. What's more surprising - the fact that this demon who you barely know is offering such a seemingly powerful object, or that he thinks you may be in so much danger that you'd need magical assistance?]

#WithYou Event End

It's the first of March, meaning #WithYou has ended…thank you so much to everyone who submitted art! The pieces were so adorable, and it was wonderful to see your MCs enjoying themselves 💗

Within the next month, I will be putting up a new app in-game that will be a home for all event submissions going forward! And, if you submitted, your post will of course be going up on Sinistr as well 👀

Okay I need to know, what made you come up with the idea of rewriting Obey me? I'm very curious actually! :3

Hi! Sooo, whew many things haha. The idea actually originally started as a fanfiction rewrite with a self-insert. Along the way, a close friend proposed turning it into a choose-your-own-adventure type game instead of simply a fic after I ranted about how our choices in the og game mean nothing 😂 I ended up deciding to pursue that idea in the hopes of others like me finding solace in a rewrite! I've had issues with canon for several years now, so I figured I'd share the ideas I've cooked up. I'm also studying to be an actual game developer lol so this has been great practice :)

Unfortunately I'm not too sure due to my tumultuous schedule, but I will update you all when it's closer to release 🙏 Sorry guys, I really do wish I could put out content faster 🥹

Hi! I was wondering, for the event, if we were allowed to add demon feature to the characters? (Levi’s tail, Beels wings ex.)

Great question! As of now I'd say no just because their demon form redesigns haven't been revealed yet, but there will definitely be future events where you can do that ^^

You are allowed to submit one piece of art. Please use the character redesigns in your Notes app for reference!

Additional note: Belphegor is currently unavailable for this event, as he is still…otherwise occupied. 💤

The submission period for this event will run from Sunday, February 1st to Saturday, February 28th. You have all month to create and drop your caption + art in dms here on Tumblr or in the Discord server.

Everyone's art will be featured in an in-game gallery as well as a Sinistr post once the event is over. You will see all art in the gallery, but only your own in Sinistr to keep the immersion. Who knows, you will probably get engagement 👀
