Waking up/Lazy Morning

Lucifer

He’s always awake before you

Does he even sleep?

You try to wake up before him, but without fail he’s always awake and alert by the time you open your eyes.

He likes to watch you sleep. Which is. Maybe a little creepy. But he likes seeing you soft and relaxed and vulnerable. Likes knowing that you trust him to protect you when you’re most helpless.

(You’re always a bit helpless, in his eyes, being a magicless human. He loves and hates in equal measure the way you always keep trying to forge ahead and complete your tasks to the best of your ability anyways.)

He likes to wake you up gently, running a hand through your hair, murmuring into your ear or against your skin.

“Rise and shine, Dear Heart.”

The man is a master of time management, you’re always going to have as long as you need to wake up, and he somehow never gets frustrated with you.

Expect to be woken up even on your days off-- Lucifer knows that a regular sleep schedule is good for a human’s health, and he’s going to make sure you keep to yours. 

He’s not above lazing around in bed with you, though. Half on top of you, clothes forgotten in last night’s haste, nothing urgent to call him away. The two of you will get up, eventually. He just wants to bask in this for a little while longer.

Mammon

You’ll usually have to wake him up every morning, but at least he’s easy to wake up. 

It’s not that he’s the lightest sleeper in the world. But once he’s awake, he’s awake, and he has a hard time getting back to sleep, so you never have to worry about that. 

He does get pretty easily distracted, though, so keep him on task, or he will spend three hours browsing Akuzon on his laptop even though he still hasn’t put on pants yet.

If you’re not waking him up in the morning, his alarm clock is waking up the both of you. It’s the loudest, most annoying alarm clock you’ve ever heard in your life, but it’s also the one Lucifer got for him, so Mammon doesn’t dare hurt it, even if he does grumble about it often.

Mammon can’t stay in bed all day. He gets restless, has to get up and pace, or get up and do something. 

He’ll always circle back to you eventually, though. Sometimes just to run his hand through your hair and wander off again, sometimes to drape himself over you and pester you about what you’re doing.

“Whatcha up to? Oh, that’s so boooorrring. C’mon, let’s go out and do something!”

Can very easily be talked back into bed for things other than sleeping *winkwonk*

Leviathan

Oh boy.

Sleep schedule? What sleep schedule?

Not a morning person. Unless he’s pulled another all-nighter, expect a very grumpy Leviathan trying to bury himself further beneath his blankets every time you try to get him up or his alarm clock goes off. 

Two options: wake up an hour before you actually need to get up and gently prod him awake, or startle him awake. Option one is a process. Option two is liable to wake up The Snake.

He’s not really mad at you, and he’d never, ever hurt you. He’s just being a big baby.

Watch him carefully, or he’s going to fall back to sleep and you’re gonna have to start the whole process over again. 

No matter how convincing he is, don’t let him pull you back into bed if you have something you need to do that day. He’ll coil himself around you and never let you go.

His laptop is right there within reach, and he’s got snacks squirreled away, why get out of bed if you don’t need to, right? 

If you’re down for it, the two of you are going to watch anime all day, or binging through the entirety of whatever game he’s just bought, stopping only to catch raids. 

Satan

Almost always awake before you. 

If you try really hard, you can manage to wake up before him. He likes to be up early enough to watch the sun rise, though (or whatever the Devildom equivalent is). 

Melancholy morning person. Rarely ever sad, just. Solemn and contemplative. 

Expect to wake up to him already dressed, sitting on top of the covers next to you, reading a book and playing with your hair. 

He always wakes you up early enough that you have time to just. Lay with him. For a little bit, at least. 

Or a lot a bit, if you don’t have anything to do for the day. Satan can literally read from sunup to sunset, if you let him, and he’s entirely willing to let you curl against him and nap, or do work on your laptop.

Or, if you’re feeling up to it, he’ll let you sit with your back against his chest, the two of you reading together, his arms around your waist, his cheek resting against the top of your head. He’ll even let you pick the book! 

(Pick a drama, though. He’ll get so sad if you don’t pick a drama.)

Asmodeus

Always awake before you.

One of those annoyingly cheerful morning people. He’s got an hour long morning routine, there’s no way he’d be able to keep up with it if he didn’t. 

Never means to wake you up so early, but his morning routine involves a lot of moving around and shifting things and little things that clack against hard surfaces, and inevitably one of those things is going to wake you up.

It’s. Kind of fascinating to watch him go from “attractively rumpled” to “not a hair out of place”. It’s almost magic, and you’re kind of convinced that there is some magic involved in his morning routine, but no matter how long you’ve been doing this he insists that he can’t reveal all of his secrets. 

Insists on helping you dress and prettying you up for the day once he’s done. His routine for you is not nearly as long as his personal routine is, but dayum you always look good when he’s done with you.

Lazy mornings aren’t spent in bed-- Asmodeus naturally wakes up too early, and he always gets that little burst of energy right after he opens his eyes, so he’s gotta do something. 

By the time you wake up naturally, he’s run a hot bath for the both of you, rosewater and scented oils. The two of you lounge in there until the water goes tepid. Lavender and warmth is almost enough to put you back to sleep, but the occasional, purposeful, teasing touches definitely keep you awake. 

If there’s nothing else to do for the rest of the day, it’s back to bed for you two, to do bed-related activities *winkwonk*

Beelzebub

Probably woke up before you because he was hungry :(

Jkjk he’s probably woken up before you because of his workout routine. By the time he wakes you up, he’s already had first breakfast, worked out, showered, had second breakfast, and is ready to wake you up for third breakfast. 

(Don’t try to keep up with him in the morning. That man is a machine. A real Terminator. He can and will outpace anyone and everyone.)

Tries to be quiet in the morning because he doesn’t want to risk waking Belphie. 

Gently shakes your shoulder, then rests his hand on the side of your neck.

“C’mon, babe. Time to get up.”

Beelzebub doesn’t really take lazy mornings, but he will let you.

Carries you to the kitchen when he’s done with his morning routine. Sets you on the island and lets you watch him cook. 

He gets distracted less than you would expect him to. He’s good like that, when he’s cooking for Belphie. And now, when cooking for you.

French toast, arepa, rice omelets and ketsup: anything you like, he makes sure you get the first bite.

He’ll feed you if you let him. 

Belphegor

You’re always up before him.

Naturally up at this time? Had to set forty alarms? Doesn’t matter-- you’re awake before Belphie, and it doesn’t look like he’s getting up anytime soon.

Good luck waking him up too. No matter how urgent, it’s going to take at least three tries, and even then you have to watch him closely to make sure he doesn’t (accidentally or on purpose) fall back to sleep. 

This man is a grumpy pants when he first wakes up. A tired, deadly grumpy pants.

Is never really mad at you, promise. He just doesn’t want to be awake, and he’s going to be a real bastard about it. 

Be gentle with him-- if you think it’s really important, he’ll get up and get ready.

(He’s going to complain the entire time though.)

Lazy morning? Dontcha mean “every morning”?

You are his personal body pillow. Get used to that. 

He dozes, slipping in and out of sleep at his leisure. He’s not going to get up for anything short of a stomach rumble, and he’s not going to let you get up either, so you’d best resign yourself to your fate here and try to catch up on those z’s.
