After finishing another assignment from Crown, Elbert went back to his room only to find it locked from the inside.
He unlocked the door and stepped inside, only to find the lights had all been turned off and the room completely silent.
But turning his gaze to the bed, he found Kate lying there with her eyes closed.
Elbert: "I'm back, Kate."
Elbert: "...Are you asleep?"
Elbert knelt down beside the bed and gently reached out to brush his fingertips against her lips.
He just wanted to make sure she was still breathing.
Elbert: "I went to your room first, but... you weren't there, so I went looking."
Elbert: "I didn't realize you were here."
Elbert: "You're still dressed, even though it's so late... Were you waiting for me?
He looked down to see that her shirt had rolled up slightly, exposing a hint of her bare skin.
And before he knew it, his lips were on her, brushing along every millimeter of her bare stomach.
Kate squirmed in her sleep as he began to gently suck and nip at her soft skin.

He slowly licked the red marks left behind on her skin before resting his head on her stomach and looking up at her.
Elbert: "You locked the door..."

A sweet tingle ran through my body, pulling me back to consciousness.

Elbert's voice was soft as he nuzzled his cheek into my neck.
Elbert: "I missed you the whole time I was gone."
It was such a sweet gesture that my heart squeezed in my chest.
The mission this time had been an especially dangerous one, so I'd remained at the castle.
I'd kept myself busy talking and drinking tea with the Crown members that weren't out on missions, as well as reading in my room.
But now matter how much I tried to distract myself, my mind kept coming back to the same thing.
(What if he was injured? What if something hurt him? I was so worried...)
Kate: "I'm glad you're safe."
I stroked his silken blond hair, and a soft smile touched his lips.
Kate: "You're not hurt, are you?"
Elbert: "No, there's not a scratch on me."

Elbert's lips closed around the edge of my ear. He always looked so beautiful, so dignified, that the way he hungrily lapped and sucked at my skin now almost seemed wrong somehow.
But Elbert really loved to put his mouth on my body.

Whether it was my ears, my neck, my arms, my legs... I loved it all.
The way he relentlessly licked and nibbled at my skin almost felt like he was about to eat me right up.
And that dark and heavy desire just made me love him all the more.
For Elbert, love and happiness were distant, fragile, and fleeting things.
I knew all too well that for a long time, he couldn't even begin to reach for them.
But when he finally could, we fell in love.
And now, he wanted all of me so much that it drove him crazy.

Elbert: "It was a painful thought... and it made me feel so sad and lonely I thought I would go crazy.."
Elbert's love was both extreme and endless. It was so deep that I could drown in it, and so intense that it was hard to breathe.
Elbert: "You're mine.. all mine."
His voice was soft as he pressed his forehead against mine, almost as if in prayer.
Elbert: "But.. I can't have you forever."
Elbert's eyes were filled with yearning, making my chest swell with love for him.
Kate: “Then… let’s just be with each other. On nights you feel uneasy, just hold me like this. Don’t let go.”
Elbert: “I love you, Kate.”
Kate: "I love you too, Elbert."
We smiled at each other, and my heart warmed.

Then finally, he slowly sat up and looked down at me with a resolute stare.

The words dripped from his mouth one by one. He looked so innocent, so angelic, that it made my chest squeeze tight.
Kate: "..As long as you tell me when I wake up like you did today, it's okay."
Another beautiful smile spread across his face before he leaned down.
Bringing his face close to the red marks scattered across my chest, Elbert then began to suck hard on my skin once more.
Elbert: "Let me start over..."
Kate: "Wh-what do you---mmnn.."
Elbert: "This way, you'll know that each and every one... is from me."
Elbert: "So keep your eyes on me."
His lips trailed along my skin, from my chest down to my stomach, to my arms, down to my thighs, and then to--
Kate: "Elbert..! Nngh..!!"
With each bite and suck, a new burst of red blossomed on my skin.
The more he continued to mark my body with his love, the more I felt like I was melting, both body and soul.
Elbert: "Mm.. There. That's everywhere."
My chest heaved as I gasped for air.
