just saw 10dance for the first time. prepare to be sick of me

#ive seen mixed reviews of this movie #and while I’ll admit I generally enjoy literally almost any form of media regardless of how good or bad #(that is to say. am aware when something sucks but will still enjoy it due to my whimsy)#i thought this was a genuinely well done movie #clearly a lot of love put into the craft from everyone #initially started watching bc one of the main characters is supposed to be from my country lol #i do see what’s been said about stereotypes but it’s definitely not the worst portrayal ive seen of my culture #the bar is kind of unfortunately on the floor but #like i said. i appreciate there’s some care put into it. i actually related to suzuki in certain parts #this is getting long but i read the manga be4 watching the movie and enjoyed both #i do believe they’re different enough that it almost seems like parallel universes lol #and if they sever make a sequel some aspects wouldn’t be as fitting (eg th separation or at least the reason behind it)#they definitely tweaked their dynamic a bit in that aspect #surprisingly i lean towards the movie slightly more - i generally prefer whichever version i watch first so thats out of the ordinary lol #i still very much enjoyed the manga (though i took issue with some portrayals) story wise i loved it #but the movie dynamic was a bit more to my persona preference #anyway im yapping nonstop but i loveddddd it will be rewatching.#10dance #10 dance #also… kind of obikin cod- (gunshot)

on one hand I deeply enjoy the aspect of obikin where it’s like the love might be unconditional but it’s not all forgiving. on the other hand I find it incredibly funny that obi wan just gave up on all that after vader died and anakin had already tripled down on the number of intergalactic crimes he’d committed. hes like. enough activism for today I think ❤️
